You can price beat the same monitor at officeworks: https://www.officeworks.com.au/shop/officeworks/p/lg-27-ultr…

    • 5% beat means it comes down to 531.05. That's pretty good considering that that Dell monitor wont be near $400 as the OP said it was just a once off.

Office Works caught on quick, they lowered the prices of theirs

This is pretty decent: I just watched Hardware Unboxed' review of the model below this (basically this monitor without overclocking ability and any USB ports) and it performs pretty well, and that worse model was $32 more expensive 5 weeks ago

    • Yeah, I watched that review too. Whichever one ends up being the cheaper on Black Friday would be a good buy imo (give or take the price difference of ~$75).

Mmmmmmmmm this or wait for a 4k 144hz HDMI2.1 to actually be in stock :( PS5 and M1 Mac.

    • considering the PS5 does not support the 1440p resolution, 4k would be a better fit.
4k monitors right now are all over the place in terms of price to performance (& featuring HDMI 2.1 support), so you're better off getting an LG C1 48" TV (though, burn-in might be an issue in regards to office apps due to the OLED panel).
Otherwise, if you can wait, hold off until more mini-LED 4k gaming monitors hit the market at more affordable prices in the next few years.

:( I've had my eye on the m32u (the m28u or 27gp950 is out of stock) for awhile… not sure if anything else is coming into the market in the next 6 months. The 48" C1 will not fit on my desk for sure.

I could settle for a used 4k 60hz monitor for now until then…

well, I think the m32u is a good buy if you really need something 4k, but the HDMI 2.1 port is limited in bandwidth (24gbps vs the usual specified 48). If you haven't already, maybe check out HardwareUnboxed's review.

(Also, I was gonna go for it but there haven't been any price drops so yeah, got this LG one instead :0)
