Do these all sync with google eco-system?

    • +1

It says: Works with Google Assistant and Amazon Alexa

    • i would like to know too. Already heavily invested into Google ecosystem. the LIFX bulbs and Smart life apps sync well. Wondering if I can add this into it

I have the light strips. They add to Google home and can use Google assistant to control, but you get more control options via the native lenovo app. Nb 2.4ghz wifi only.

Does anyone know if these connect to tuya/smart life?

  • +2

The cam uses the Lenovo Link app which is then added to google home. So do some other components.

These are a nightmare to set up especially if it is old stock on the original non Tuya firmware. Had to dig out an old iPhone Se to set up. Tried about 3 different android phones, tablet and iPad without luck.

  • If only you could use the smart clock to display Lenovo's own camera streams!

E: Interesting because I've found that it works with the lenovo smart display. Support chat giving me conflicting answers.

Even though the Lenovo smart plugs integrates with google, each time I asked google to turn on/off the smart plug it had a 50% chance of actually turning on or off. If memory serves me right, the default app also had some issues turning on/off the smart plugs (I could be wrong). I decided to return the smart plugs afterwards. When I was returning the item the store tech rep told me it was one of the most common returned items because of this as well.

  • Would the camera be any good to set up indoors looking out the front door for security purposes?

    • +2

During the day, maybe, provided there's no glare from sun.

At night, if it uses infrarad for night vision, it will be useless as it beams the IR which reflects off the window you're looking out of and the video feed will just be a big white shine.

Bought 2x Lenovo smart light bulbs from jbhifi.
Have a lot of issues with Lenovo Link app; you simply can't login. Anyway long story short, after plenty of troubleshooting just to make sure it's not a fault on my end, found out it's a known issue. Personally I would never buy another Lenovo 'not so smart' device again.

    • Possibly why they're flogging these at half price. Also not a lot of reviews online either.

    • use the tuya smart life app… its better

works flawless with google assistant/home for me now.

  • is this zigbee compatible?

    • It says wifi so no zigbee

  • +1

Anyone know if these are compatible with homeassistant?

    • +2

I'm using previously bought bulb with homeassistant via smartlife/tuya integration. Make sure you add device in Tuya/Smartlife app and not Lenovo app.

So check for similar product on Tuya and it will be fine.
