  • Any difference with Spotlights one ?

    • +71

Probably sleep better when it’s dark instead of under a spotlight.

    • The spotlight one is 1.2m x 1.8m for the same weight. So it would be less dense, which is probably more ideal because I find the Koo elite to be a tad too heavy.

      • Thanks

    • The Spotlight ones have glass beads and these are silica. Not sure if that makes a difference.

        Thanks ordered 3.

      • Damn I'll have to fold this over a few times to get my bargain

  • Cheers OP. No spotlights near me so Amazon is a sweet deal. 👍

  • The negative reviews are really worrying.

  • Isi t a very warm blanket? Seems to state it was for winter, Was looking for something not too warm for spring / autumn. I have a really warm quilt for cold nights.

  • Great price but imo it's worth paying more for one with a bamboo cover. The polyester cover with the silica beads can make these sweat tents.

      • Wow 100% bamboo cover, that looks pretty good value indeed.
If you want to invest in more luxe can seek out bamboo lyocell (silky finish), but otherwise that kogan ones looks like a good price.

        • that' a Nogan for me!

      • Looks like a much better deal, especially with the 7kg one going for $49.99

  • Thanks OP, got one.

Thanks OP, been wanting to try one out for a while now

https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/ovela-bamboo-weighted-blanket-7… This one $20 more expensive ($10 with trial) but it's bamboo

There is a $50/7kg bamboo one from the same brand on Amazon.

I think they used a different manufacturer in 2019 which is why you get all the reviews of people with "sand" leaking out of the blanket, but very complaints of this after 2020.

Having said that, people still seem to be complaining about the build quality of the blanket as the stitches keep coming out.

  • Are they all made of silica glass beads. Should there be a worry about silica dust? I’m guessing no.

  • Is it enough for 2 people? is it King size?

  • Nice, i just got my 2nd jab too.

Thanks OP. Found this one, sounds like a good deal too.

  • There are a couple of ones to choose from the above.
    Which one is best?
    Is bamboo cover good?

    • If Kogan charges delivery fee than Amazon would be cheaper, for the same $50 7kg blanket. Bamboo is probably more comfortable unless you get quite cold and want your body heat trapped in under polyester cover.

Kogan or Amazon for $50 bamboo cover weighted blanket?
