  • $39 if you use Afterpay

    • Another quality just wines offering. I thought the quality had improved then I realised I was drinking my own urine.

  • Bought one using afterpay, $39 delivered. Fingers crossed it's a decent quaffer

  • Thanks, grabbed 2 cases. If it's not a good drinker, it'll be great for cooking.

      Oh dear!

Good deal but $240/ doz rrp stretches credulity.

    • +5

Yeah, I've bought this exact case, never again! Even the cheapest Aldi or Dan's wine is better than this, and I'm happy to try the cheap drops but this one is a new low.
It makes Yellow Tail look like a superb drop.
PS: this case is always cheap as chips.

  • +5

RRP of $20 a bottle but I bet they've never even sold a bottle at $10. So many wine "deals" are a load of crap. I just wish they'd be honest with the"savings" they claim

  • Cheapest type of booze and helping the wine farmers at the same time…

  • No brainer. Thanks

  • +7

Looks like a below average junk wine
    I believe ALDI's $2.75 wine taste better

    • +1

      Aldo's cheapies are surprisingly quaffable.

    • +2

This wine not rated on Vivono. Agree with the Aldi wine is a good drop - That works out $33 for a dozen

    Here's a "verified buyer's" review from the seller's site:

    "Just okay
First taste seemed terrible. Thought about returning it. Tried again and decided that it was ok, but would not order it again"

    So yeah…

I've been suckered into these and have yet to get lucky. A $2 wine sold for $3.50

    • -2

Can you please show us how to get a bottle of 750 ml cabarnet for 2 dlrs each? The last time I managed to get at this price when woolies had a pricing error.

      • +2

robotics never claimed to have purchased wine at $2; they were asserting that the value of this wine is $2/bottle

        • I see so thats like giving a $1.5 profit to the seller? Then I still think this is a great price

          • @hnl: Allow me to be more specific - it was implied that that the retail value of this wine is $2, i.e. you are overpaying by $1.50. I don't know enough about the industry to be able to say how much profit the seller is making. In any case, I hope you enjoy your wine and please keep us updated on how enjoyable you found it :)

            • @pyr0maniac: How can you say we are overpaying by 1.5 dlrs when no other seller selling it for 2 dlrs?

              • +2

@hnl: Use your brain. The persons opinion of the value of the wine was $2.

      • +2

Cost of production likely to be around a minimum of $1.60 per bottle.

  • +3

Have purchased from this seller and fairly sure it's this offer (halves with a mate) not worth the punt..the wines were awful.
Don't get suckered in by RRP savings, they are the wines that nobody wants. I threw some of them out, couldn't give em as presents unless I hated the person enough.

    • +1

Agree, this "wine" is barely drinkable. Almost an insult to use for cooking.

      • Should actually only cook with a wine you are prepared to drink! :-)

78% of stock sold at time of posting! DONT PANIC there's now 150% of stock now available as those that bought it last time and this time have returned it.

Delivered today (well… one case was. Thanks Fastway. I'll deal with that one later).

I'm going to go against the grain here. I had to crack it open for a lunch glass to try.

I like it. It's by far not a top shelf red, but it has very intense plum and cherry notes, and is very jammy. Lovely mouthfeel, although it finishes slightly sweeter than I like, but that may change with letting it breathe.

    Very happy for the cost.
