    • Solana is still performing very well.

Why are people depositing $50 of their own money btw? Maybe I am missing something…

Why not deposit just $20 or so and combine that with the $30 you would sell the BTC for leaves you with min required $50 or more to withdraw and avoid the transfer fee?

Wow - silly me, I understand now. So you deposit $50 to avoid the $1.30 deposit fee, right.

    • +4

this, it was a pretty quick turnaround too. The withdrawal has already shown up back in my bank account. So far I'm rating it "A+++ would collect their money again"

    • damn, I could've saved $2.6

      nooo

  • +1

"This type of promotion code can only be applied once per person"

I only just signed up though.

    • See my comments for explanation

      • Where is explanation?
        I’m getting the same error!

        • +2

This error happens when you register using referral link. In this case code in this deal does not work and the there is no workaround

  • Thanks op, got it, now to redeem and put it into a shitcoin.

  • +1

I put it into the BTC saving account for 2% interest. Hopefully get something more in few months.

    • +2

Crypto.com will give you 6.5% interest and Nexo will give you 8%.

      • Thanks for the info, I only use few crypto exchanges before and I assume Nexo is well established exchange?

        • Nexo is great but can’t buy on their exchange at the moment so you can only deposit crypto and HODL. I want to buy NEXO tokens to get the higher returns but all other exchanges charge too much to transfer.

        • No problem. They are both well established. Use a random referal code from ozb to get a bonus as well. I think it's 25USD worth of CRO from crypto.com at the moment.

  • +1

Too easy. Added already to my main BTC stack.

  • +3

Hey, I missed out because I used a referral code, trying to be a team player. This deal needs to be edited to state clearly that you should not use a referral code. This isn’t the poster’s fault, but I do believe it’s now their responsibility to prevent this from happening to more users.

    • +2

Agree, also added same comment here

  • Hey did you guys deposit using the bank details or pay ID?

    • +2

      Pay ID for instant deposit

      • Got it, I didn't think they would be able to get your bank details through payid, but they did.

Thanks all for the free dinner

        • What are you having for dinner

  • +1

Made an account, received the $30, sold the $30 worth of bitcoin, deposited $50, and withdrew about $79 in about 20 minutes. Waiting till tomorrow to receive funds.
Edit: Just received the money in my account 5 minutes ago, so the withdrawal only took about 20 minutes.

  • when I put the promo code I get an error message as You must verify your identity first

how can I verify my id?

    • It ask you straight away after you sign up

      • thanks. I made it.

  • Crap, I used the referral link to sign up.

  • Is it bad giving away my personal details like this? Could Identity theft happen from this?

    • I believe Revolut (popular app on OzBargain) uses the same onboarding process for verification via Onfido as does Luno?

    • Nice to know someone knows the risks . I know some people who no way would want to watch their credit score/reports every 5 secs looking for abnormities .

      • -1

huh? So this will do a credit check on me?

        • They are worried of identity theft . I think in this company case it is more likely hackers than the company or insiders if it was to happen .

  • Started a few weeks ago seen 6% gain so that's nice! I split mine over the place 😃

    Just added my code 😊

Downloaded the app through play store without using any referal codes. Got my account verrified but when entering the code, i get an error message saying "This Promotion Code can only be applied once per person" Even though ive never applied before and my wallet says $0, 0.00 Bitcoin…

    • **edit, code worked after waiting 24hrs for some reason

  • I sold the bitcoins and now I got aud 29.44 in balance.

so how can I deposit and withdraw? I can't find the links etc!

    • In the Wallets section. Withdraw Bitcoin to AUD. Then go to the AUD to deposit to verify your account, then withdraw.

Edit: Just click on withdraw and it will take you through depositing as required to withdraw.

      • thanks. I finally made it.

      • What do you mean Withdraw Bitcoin to AUD? May be you meant to say Sell.

    • Don't forget to deposit $50 to save $1.3 fee

      • thanks for reply. I made it.

  • I'm getting a duplicate account error after verification, but I've never used Luno before. The app offers to help find the duplicate before popping up with "You have no duplicate accounts". Looks like I've lucked out. :(

  • Just received the $79.45 (after $50 deposit) into my bank account. Thanks.

This is for the people that are thinking of selling the BTC for $30 fiat.

    https://twitter.com/Bitcoin/status/1177580678537302017?t=rXh…

The guy that said "outcast" isn't laughing now.

Think carefully about where you want to be in 5 years.

bitcoin is the biggest ponzi scheme ever thanks to technology. Other ponzi schemes were local in the past. Thanks to internet human history created the biggest ponzi scheme.

      • +5

If Bitcoin, a fully traceable and decentralised currency with a finite number of coins to ever exist is a ponzi. Then what does that make fiat?

        • you can create unlimited number of digital currency those have the same principle as bitcoin. the current bitcoin value is built by the only people who want to buy it on this price tag. once there is no buyer price will fall. comparing with shares are meaningless. company shares also limited but there is a business behind them and most of them pays dividend.

bitcoin doesn't make anything, doesn't pay dividend but it costs to run and stock etc.

          • +1

            @adms:

company shares also limited but there is a business behind them and most of them pays dividend.

Company stonks are unlimited. All it takes is a majority approval from stonkholders and they can split it as many times as they want.

Divs are for companies that can't innovate and their dinosaur owners that think a 3.76% 1Y yield is good returns.

            https://www.marketbeat.com/stocks/ASX/CBA/dividend/

Imagine getting paid a 3.76% 1Y in divs when the inflation rate is 3.80% 1Y.

            • +1

@rektrading: you can say 3.76% 1Y yield is shit return. however, this is what sustainable is. bitcoin's return isn't sustainable. bitcoin can't go like this forever!

              • +3

                @adms:

bitcoin can't go like this forever!

Well it has now for 13 years of calling it a
Ponzi scheme - must be getting tiring at this point. And it will continue to go up as more people accumulate and make it scarcer, especially after each 4 year halving.

I have already paid off my house with BTC and still have left over BTC which is now being used to earn rewards in BTC E.g. 6.2% per annum compounded using CeFi or DeFi services that is supplementing my lifestyle.

I only got in 4 years prior so never too late to change your tune. Just a simple person here giving my person experience.

                All the best

          • +1

@adms: you can create an unlimited number of digital currencies, but there is a difference between a token and a blockchain. it's easy to create a new token from nothing, which is why you see so many of them pop up and disappear. running the bitcoin network is fundamentally more difficult, and part of it's valuation would come from the network effect (i.e. bitcoin is the oldest, most widespread, most users and so forth).

people seem to not grasp a) governments create money with impunity (for now) and these will flow onto a number of asset classes one of which is crypto, and b) part of valuation is derived from utility and user uptake

with money being created like this, all asset classes look like ponzis because their pricings look like they've decoupled from their fundamental value. bitcoin and other cryptos have a underlying value (what that base is harder to determine) but it is there

        • +2

          Fiat is the biggest shitcoin

      • +2

If it's a ponzi, cba would not be rolling it out to their apps. Soon you will be able to buy bitcoin and a few other currencies through the cba app

  • Do you need to be 18+?

  • Thank you! I did the $50 deposit and cashed out $29.43 :)

  • +1

Easy peasy money, thanks op. Worked a charm.

  • How long did it take? Mine is saying confirm identify first- already added my licence and selfie etc

    • 5-10mins to verify
then another 20-30mins to hit your account after you withdraw

  • Damn didnt do the $50 trick. Lost 1.3 deposit fee and 1.3 withdrawal fee. Still got 28 though. Nice

  • Thank you good sir :)

  • I must be blind because I can't see a deposit or a withdraw anywhere in the app.

Edit: Shows on the web but not app.

    • Definitely in the app. Did both deposit and withdraw all in it.

      • It wasn't instant. Took 20 minutes

  • Can't pass the verification with a clear photo of my ID. Seems some others users have had this issue too.

  • Can confirm this still works, but you just need to ensure you download the app and smooth sailing. Website says you can't apply code on web version.

  • For those who wanna send the $30 BTC to your own wallet (or to Nexo for 8% interest), they have a send-protection that can take up to 14 days to disabled .

  • How long does verification take?

    • Took me about 5mins about 29mins ago

  • This website is amateurish, they are claiming I have a second account despite never seeing this website before in my history, and verifying now.

  • I’d didn’t get the bonus :(

  • is this a reliable site to buy actually bitcoin? or would you recommend another one?

    • +1

they're reliable but only a few coins to buy. I prefer Swyft (Au Based) or Binance/

There's also Coinspot, BTC Markets, Coinjar all AU Based.

    • +1

They are just as reliable as any of the 100s of brokers and CEX.

Use them as on-ramps and Tx the coins to a soft or hard wallet.

  • I signed up last night and they are still verifying my account. How long does it take to verify for you guys?

    • Took about 5 mins last night when I signed up.

  • Verification won't work with my Vic driving licence. It keeps saying the rear of my licence is cut off/blurred/etc. But it is pinpoint sharp - I can only assume the official 'change of address' sticker confuses the software. Can't proceed.

    • had the same issue.. try taking from about 15 cm away.

  • Code needs to be added through downloaded app for me

    • Yes. Mentioned a few times already in comments.

  • Got an error message saying ineligible as per terms and conditions. Assume the 4000 uses are finished? That or it's one code per household?

    • One code per household probably, just put in the code and it worked for me

      • Where do you put in the code?

I verified my email address but nowhere to put codes?

        • rewards section in app

  • +1

2 week wait before you can send crypto (ie to your main exchange / wallet) "in case you change your mind"…what an absolute crock, not to mention the extremely limited range of assets to purchase.

    • +1

This has made me ABSOLUTELY LIVID yesterday.
I decided in good faith to use them to transact and buy around 1 ETH to transfer to my wallet. I thought I will use them if they are rewarding customers, why not.
Now I have ~5K sitting there for two weeks awaiting "verification"
I tried to contact support, no phone number, no email, just FB message and they will only reply with copy paste bs.
I have asked them to call me to assist in whatever verification they need and they just copy and paste their "Very strict safety protocols" that protect the customer.
Now simply lost around $250 in fees because I have withdrawn back to AUD and they can ^%$$ themselves.
      AVOID LIKE THE RONA!!

    • +1

Yes, was also caught out by this 'feature' :)

  • kicking my butt now for selling too quickly. price is going up !!!

  • +1

Having a hard time signing up. First two times got knocked back fairly quickly trying to upload a vic licence (tried close and far range). The third time I haven’t heard back in a while and I can’t enter the promo code until it gets verified

    • +1

Make sure your photos are crystal clear. I used the same license photos to verify for like 20+ websites, and it was fine. But for Luno it wasn't good enough, I took a new photo on a white table directly under the light with flash on. Took em a while to get back to me again, but they should.

  • +1

Thanks. Promo code still works as of about an hour ago. Cashed out.

  • It's $30, keep it and come back in 5 years. Maybe it will be $300 then or else it's just $30.

  • -1

Bitcoin will be USD$40,000 within 2 years… so take your $30 now, or $200 later.

    • +3

It's US$65,500 now, so if it's going to be US$40,000 within 2 years, then it's more like take your $30 now, or $18.30 later.

      I assume you mean US$400,000?

      • Wow… I made a big mistake… thanks for the correction!

Yes, $400,000 within 2 years. Digital gold.
