We are an Australian company who specialize

    Contradiction much

    • +13

Cmon man, we're not out here trying to sledge on other businesses

    • +1

      Contradiction of what?

      • +17

        They used American English spelling.

        • +1

And we're about to use American English subs too

..no? Ok I'll show myself the door

    • -3

ize is more often used in "proper" British English than American English. Whether Australian English is different to British is debatable (god help us).

As someone wiser than I wrote about ise and ize:
"Both spellings are used in British English.

The Oxford Dictionary, The Times family of newspapers, the Oxford University Press and most other academic publishers prefer -ize.

Popular newspapers and most other types of publishers prefer -ise. -ise is probably the more widely used form by British English writers overall."

      • +6

Generally, I'd say regardless of what the British use we don't use -ize. It stands out to a lot of people here to the point that comments like this will always be made.

To a lot of people it's like a typo glaring you in the face because you're so familiar with spotting it when you're writing things yourself. Fighting against the MS Word dictionary that still doesn't recognise vectorise as a word.

      "Most car makes and models"

      🤣🤣😂

    • Good pick up

  • -5

    I see you're just a troll.

  • +2

Most makes? No i20 or i30

    • Sorry we don't have car mats for i20 and i30 on clearance sale. We have other auto parts such as weather shields for i20 and i30.

  • +3

No love for Toyota Corolla 2005 in any of your deals. Will keep on waiting, OP :(

    • Hi we only have weathershields for Toyota Corolla 2005 both Sedan and Hatch models.

  • +4

What a random list of cars 😂
Edit: ahh I see, on clearance - that makes more sense

  • +1

    Anything for the Falcon?

  • +2

    How do I select model?

    • Hi you could please leave a note of your model in the order, or leave your email we'll then contact you thru email to confirm your model.

  • +32

I just checked the leather floor mats, they are the exact same from Alibaba and AliExpress, op business even used the same photos from AliExpress and Alibaba.

Negging due to this being a a Alibaba importer. The professionals don't go to the middlemen, they go to the source!

    We really are OzAdvertising

    • +1

Negging due to this being a a Alibaba importer

      What's wrong with that?
Alibaba is the biggest commerce platform in the world so if they are importing the product it is likely it has come through Alibaba.

And if I buy from Alibaba do I get an Australian warranty and Consumer Law protection?

      • +11

I think it's the lack of transparency. Ozbargainers should be made aware that this is simply a middleman company charging your more. Yes there may be pros but we should be able to decide whether that's worth paying extra for

        • +2

Ozbargainers should be made aware that this is simply a middleman company charging your more.

So every single store should have a sign, or is it not obvious enough for you that stores are middlemen?

"Woolworths, proudly a middleman company charging you more"

"Coles, because you're to lazy to go to the source"

"BP, we tried giving the oil away and you still didn't want it"

          • @spaceflight: Middlemen but transparent. When you go to a fuel station you know what you are getting into. Same with grocery shopping. There are plenty of competitors which means we can opt to spend more at coles/woolies or BP for our groceries/fuel or we can go to places like Aldi/farmers markets or opt to fuel at cheaper fuelling stations.

            OP states:
"We are an Australian company who specialize in selling quality aftermarket auto accessories, based in Melbourne"

Not sure of the need to stress the Australian ties other than to tap into Aussie pride and take money from others for doing very little. Not sure what makes them specialists.

            • @Chocobros:

When you go to a fuel station you know what you are getting into

              Do you?
There is no sign at my local that says "we are an independent fuel station and are a middleman company charging you more"

I always thought that Larry had an oil well and refinery and that is why he was an independent.

There are plenty of competitors which means we can opt to spend more at coles/woolies or BP for our groceries/fuel or we can go to places like Aldi/farmers markets or opt to fuel at cheaper fuelling stations.

And that is irrelevant for you wanting to know if someone is a middleman.

It seems like you like the idea of a middleman because it gives you choice in where you can get a product.

              OP states:
"We are an Australian company who specialize in selling quality aftermarket auto accessories, based in Melbourne"

Nowhere there does it say that they make the product themselves.

Not sure of the need to stress the Australian ties

If they are based in Melbourne then it's easy to know that the product will be sent from Melbourne, and have consumer Law protection.

@spaceflight: Okay… You seem overly invested in this. Perhaps you're an employee? Owner? Maybe you just want to see Australian industry relegated to the import industry. Not sure why else you'd be so butthurt… But my suggestion that one doesn't like being ripped off by middlemen with a lack of transparency and with a company that is ramming down buy Australian and insinuating that we are supporting Australian business and as an extension Australian industry when we aren't still stands.

I could argue the point but you seem incapable of understanding so I shall leave it at that.

                • +2

There we are, straight to making things up and attacking others to justify something you want rather than look at it logically

Not sure why else you'd be so butthurt…

I'm not hurt at all, you're being stupid and I'm pointing it out.

But my suggestion that one doesn't like being ripped off by middlemen with a lack of transparency

                  That wasn't your suggestion.
You suggested that "Ozbargainers should be made aware that this is simply a middleman company charging your more"

Which is what nearly all deals posted to ozbargain are.
Do you know where deals aren't? They aren't at places where only one store has rights to sell a product because that is a monopoly.

And you seem to like the idea of middlemen because "There are plenty of competitors which means we can opt to spend more at coles/woolies or BP for our groceries/fuel or we can go to places like Aldi/farmers markets or opt to fuel at cheaper fuelling stations."

and with a company that is ramming down buy Australian

                  No they weren't

and insinuating that we are supporting Australian business

You are supporting and Australian business

and as an extension Australian industry

                  The store never said that.

I could argue the point but you seem incapable of understanding so I shall leave it at that.

                  You're not arguing.
You are just typing dribble and contradicting yourself.

                  • @spaceflight: I've stated my point do with it what you want. Not here to argue.

      • Nothing wrong with Alibaba, there's a lot of good stuff there, and this also a lot of shit too. The point is (as I stated before) it's an importer, and a lazy one (using stock photos from Alibaba), the professionals go to the source, not middlemen, this is OzBargain, not OzImporters, or OzAdvertising.

The leather car mats that op is selling are available from Alibaba for about $30 with a MOQ of 1 (includes front and back mats), and from AliExpress for about $70 delivered.

I should also mention, the leather floor mats are very cheap and tacky - I've seen them any times in ride share services.

        • -4

The point is (as I stated before) it's an importer

Is that a problem? Did they say their products are Australian?

the professionals go to the source

          Alibaba is a source platform.

If you are a manufacturer of a product then Alibaba is the platform you can use, it's what it was designed for, it's a B2B platform.

          • @spaceflight: The more you argue your point the more this shop loses credibility. That's my opinion.

            • @shegeloaf:

The more you argue your point

That Alibaba is a B2B commerce platform?

the more this shop loses credibility.

              Why?

              That's my opinion.

              Thanks for sharing your opinion

    • +6

Why the negging? Did Alibaba offer local AU stock available immediately for pick up?

      • Maybe you haven't read my comment, or just being a smart arse looking for a argument? Also, incase you haven't noticed I haven't negged (I removed my up vote), but my comment has been negged - was it you lol?

The point is (as I stated before) it's an importer, and a lazy one (using stock photos from Alibaba), the professionals go to the source, not middlemen, this is OzBargain, not OzImporters, or OzAdvertising. Op isn't an entrepreneur, an innovator, op business is just a lazy Alibaba importer.

The leather car mats that op is selling are available from Alibaba for about $30 with a MOQ of 1 (includes front and back mats), and from AliExpress for about $70 delivered.

    • LOL, professionals get paid for what they do, not the other way round.
