    Finally, someone with stock!

    • lets hope that's the case, i pulled the trigger before I posted this deal 😂😂

    • this is it, non LHR, get ready miners!!

    MSRP crew in 3…2…1

    HOLD !!!

    For 40xx series…

    • +4

Might as well tbh, or at least the higher-RAM versions Q1 2022.

    • +4

Would they even release the 40XX series if the current is still in such a high demand?

      • +1

Yes they always do every 2 years without fail so the next release date is 2022 then 2024 then 2026.

Sometimes you add a few months so i would add a maximum of 6 months deviation to their release schedule.

Last two generations were September release dates my guess for the next one is October 2022 or December 2022 maybe for chip shortage but my gut says they will be on time to keep up appearances.

        • +5

Historically, yes every 2 years. But current economy is different to the past. Now it is a combination of chip shortage + Covid + logistic bottleneck + Bitcoin farming + No competition to Nvidia top model.

It make more business sense to milk the market to maximise revenue. If there is still demand for current product and stock is flying out the shelfs then why release new? Remember Nvidia is not your friend, they are business to make money. They may very well have 40XX ready but will happily roll on a bed made of cash and laughing at all you peasants.

          Anyway, just my 2 cent.

          • @beefmaster: Not at all, AMD's highest card last generation was the 5700XT where Nvidia's was the 2080Ti, they've definitely got competition this time around, and RDNA3 is just around the corner as well

          • @beefmaster: They release every other year to make more money and to keep their current market share and mindshare, just like every single other tech company on the planet, even if performance gains are marginal. Also AMD is neck and neck to Nvidia in terms of performance this gen, it'd be stupid of Nvidia to skip next gen and let AMD get the performance crown for 2 years.

          • @beefmaster: If NVIDIA doesnt keep moving they will be overtaken. They cant be sure of when AMD will release their next model so they need to keep releasing every 2-3 years anyway. Besides, their biggest customer for a new gen is all their old gen customers.

    • Probably should only hold if your Motherboard actually supports PCIE 4.0

Thank goodness I got my 3070 for $1200, I thought even that was insanely inflated in early 2021

    • -5

It was too much at the time for me, plus I didn't manage to buy it on release, so I put that $ into MATIC crypto… Now I can buy 50 cards.

      • +1

        @mwalks if you're not a liar you'll send me a 3080

        • +1

Oh I am definitely not being truthful, my only point being that every single post about video cards have people swarming in with 'back in my day' stories.

I did actually buy $10 of MATIC though at that time though.

    • Same here. Swapped my ple launch order for a $1200 3080 card for an in stock 3070 at rhe same price. Felt ripped off but i got my card that week. Otherwise i would have waited an extra 9 months for the 3080.

  • I bought my 3060Ti for $1500

    • +1

      ouch

    • +1

Oft, got my 3080 for $1500

      • +2

$1500? oft, i got my 3080 for $1169 at launch

        • +2

It was the ‘higher’ side at the time but it had to be the evga as it was the only other 2 slot with the founders to fit my case

          • +1

@MBix: I can't do it all on my own

  • +8

Only $1399 more expensive than the 1080ti was on release.

    • +1

I think those days are over on a lot of products… and there seems to be no relief.

  • Sheeeeeesh

  • +5

Just received my EVGA 3070 FTW3 Ultra from PLE, paid $1350 for it… Can't believe I decided NOT to buy 3080 from PLE for $1300 during the release… Ohh well jokes on me.

My 2 cents: don't hold for uncertain future if you NEED one now.

    • +2

Agree. I felt dumb for paying $820 for non LHR 3060ti but now feeling great

      • I also bought a 3060ti for the same price too.
I am glad that I bought it as well

      • Typing to you from a 3070 bought for $1020 a year ago, when people were waiting for it to settle down to launch price levels. I should probably have sold for a profit, but I use it every day.

    • +1

Does anybody actually NEED a GPU? Especially an inflated price one? :/

  • +1

Amazing price. Got my Gigabyte 3080 OC for 2K early this year.

    • +1

Thats now worth $2200 - $2500 because its a Full Hash Version, not a crippled LHR version

      • With nbminer 74% LHR unlock, puts 3080ti on par with regular 3080. Full unlock seems probable given the quick LHR development.

    • Name doesn't check out

People should just stop buying video cards as a (profanity) you to nvidia and distributers/retailers.

It's not like you are missing out on any great games, the games industry has also turned to shit.

The trend of increasing video card prices needs to stop.

    • +3

      It has stopped going up…

Now we are waiting for the prices to retrun to "normal"

Unless this is the new post covid normal…..

      • +1

Yeah well, everyone from nvidia to distributers would love trying to make this the new normal.

If people keep lapping up what they dish out.

The only way to keep it all in check is to stop buying them. Easy to say i know, lots of people need new cards i suppose, but if everyone could just HOLD !! hehe

    • +1

We aren't buying them. Miners are buying them, and good luck telling people to stop buying money printers

Warning the Cooler on the Gigabyte Eagle series, of cards, are pretty horrible..

have a Gigabyte 3070TI eagle and a Gigabyte 3060 Eagle from the previoius techfast deal… worsts coolers, I've seen on any modern video card.. both cards seem to run a lot hotter that the other 30x0 series cards in my collection..

But you get what you pay for…

    • My 3070 Eagle is not too bad, but the case has pretty good ventillation

    • Does this apply to the straight gigabyte oc cards? Most reivews I've seen say the gigabytes are typically cooler.

  • Is this card a LHR?

  • "seems to be in stock" I believe the guidelines for ozbargain is that is has to be at least 10… And also is that the cheapest price? Found cheaper by a quick Google search…

    • Found cheaper by a quick Google search…

      Link or it didn't happen.

  • lmao ozbargain?

  • -3

Overpriced things like this should not be on a site with the word bargin in it.

  • +1

Because many people here are used to eating poo sandwiches this year, and apparently this poo sandwich is among the less foul-tasting sandwiches.

  • -4

    Thanks bought 5

  • My 1060 died when a suprim x was 3k. GG 😂

  • +1

Any suggestions on card around $650 for video gaming? (not mining) Ive got a 8GB Radeon RX480 thats showing its age, but i just cant bring myself to drop $2k+ in this day and age.

    • +1

Right now, Radeon 6600 is your best bet. But if you find one for $650 you'll have to be quick, they go fast.

  • Nice, bought the MSI Ventus, identical version to this, for $100 more; still thought it was a good deal :)

  • Looks like you can get it $50 cheaper via shoppingexpress 10% off at the moment? Says they'll ship within 24 hours, not sure how others have fared with GPUs via shoppingexpress of late though.
