it may actually come with 260gb as that what boost is offering possible the seller hasn't updated the add, if you want to be certain to get the extra 20GB you can use this deal 260GB - $216.71 costs a little more

    • Damn.
Paid $235 a week ago. I'll hand in my membership card :'(

    • I activated earlier this year during the promo period around January or February, and got an extra 120 Gb for a total of 360 Gb :)

  • By when it needs to be activated ?

  • I wish boost treated long term customers to these offers ๐Ÿ™„

Suggested them a many times already > Churned > Price looks good > Join back (probably)

    • Yep agree. I was on the chat to them today asking if I could recharge using one of these deals and they flatly said no can do. They suggested I buy a new one and activate it and use that.

  • Is there a similarly sick deal for the $200 boost card?

  • Could someone tell me if I can port in to Boost from Vodafone by myself during the activation ? Or I need to ask Vodafone to Cancel my month to month sim only plan?

    • +4

Do not ever cancel your prior plan. Porting gives permission to your new telco to transfer your old number.

      • +1

thank you, will follow the guidance from boost website during the activation

    • buy this boost sim, when you go through the activation process of the new sim it asks you for your number, and then usually you get messaged a code for porting and then bam done, within a few min to hours your number gets moved over.

Vodaphone just send you a message to say your number is being ported, they dont care otherwise.

      • Just bought the 240G one! Thank you for your information and it looks very straightforward, and I did some my own research from Boost as well. I've been a Vodafone user for almost 8 years but the signal is not quiet good sometimes. considering boost is using Telstra 4g network so I would like to try it out. Also my currently month to month plan got 220GB data per month and I never used more than 30G+.

        • It's great, at one point I was sim hopping entry level deals (there's pretty much always one on). Porting for me was usually pretty instant (30mins tops) and worked flawlessly. They've added a bit more verification but it's still just a number and birthdate, I always double check the name on the new account is spelt and written exactly the same as the one on the old one, checking for middle names, shortened names e.c.t.

Good you know your data usage, a lot of people have way more data than they'll ever use.

My fear is still there buying Boost SIM from ebay after that last highly under priced sale :|

    Anyone know the sim expiry?

  • Damn wish I was an eBay plus member

  • Any discounts on recharge ?

    • +1

nope stuck at full price, just jump to aldi or amaysim before it expires.

Boost coverage is pretty shit these days

  • $215.90? Or am I doing something wrong?

    • price went up $5

      • Good to know it wasn't just me!

For those after less data I recommend Woolworths mobile 100GB $150 1 year sim ($130 after cashback) and 10% off a shop every month.

They also use Telstra but i think a slightly lower coverage network than boost, but it doesn't seem to be an issue and no porting issues as far I know.
It does take the sim 2 weeks to arrive in the mail however.

Iโ€™m currently a BOOST mobile customer expiring end of Jan, if I port out prior how long do I have to wait before I can port back into BOOST (to take advantage of the โ€˜newโ€™ sign up)?

Secondly, could I buy this pre-paid sim now and activate it end of Jan/early Feb?

    Cheers

I ported back straight away within 2 hours. That was 6 months ago

      • Legend, thanks. That's heaps quick. I'll have to give it a go when my plan expires, we'll have to start a leaderboard for this. Speedrun port out/back from boost

  • Does anyone know if Boost are planning to offer eSIMs for Apple Watch?

    • They did just re-sign with Telstra, but pretty sure they wont do the eSIM as thats premium for telstra at the moment…. but who knows.

      • Thanks. Woolies should have eSIMs this week and wearables are apparently arriving next year.

  • God damn missed it. Think I've got 100 days left before expiry. Fingers crossed.

They run these pretty often. Black Friday is coming up too. Boxing Day is in there too.
