    Yep, the globes are tuya so you can use the tuya integration, local tuya if you want local control, or could open them up and flash them with tasmota/esphome - by now you're unlikely to get a globe that can be OTA converted with tuya-convert.

  i.e. I checked and there's nothing on the shelves local to me according to BigW website.
  I'm over the number of 'sales' where there is no stock…

  I bought Laser branded smart lights from Harvey Norman on sale recently. I ended up with 5 x $5 LED bulbs. Couldn't get any of them to connect at all. I'll admit I have had a lot of trouble the various LIFX bulbs I bought too. You go through the process of registering them, and it fails 1,2 3 or more times then suddenly they work for some random reason.

  FYI, I got a box of Laser Smart Bulb 10W B22 8pk White from Costco ($6.25 each).

  (But the lights in my new home are all LED downlights :( … Will sell on eBay I guess)
