  • Audio Codec: SBC, AAC

  • Good price for a USB-C earbud.

  • Brand: Herillios

  • Thank you. Ordered.

  • Can't get $17.99. Still shows as $19.99 for me after adding to cart.

    • OK. I have to collect a 10% discount coupon and then it will show as $17.99 on checkout.

    • 10% checkbox coupon on product page (might have to refresh a few times).

  • So this is the same item branded differently or we will actually get Taotronics? Eg. the charging box will have Taotronics logo on it.

Looks to be Taotronics according to customer review and pics.

Just got it delivered and it is taotronics sound liberty 79.
Got 5 as a gift when I go overseas.

  • Just got my orders delivered and can confirm this is the Taotronics SoundLiberty 79. I can't believe this is just $18. So good. And practically zero lag in any platform I could test it on - Windows, Android, iOs.

  • Happy enough for the price, but not blown away by the sound, even in comparison to ancient Soundpeats SEs. They're super tinny. Not sure if it's lack of AptX support or problem with fit.

    • Look I am also actually puzzled now.
The sound seems little more trebly than the original i had.
The serial is also not noted on the original one when you open the case.
Another strange thing is this one has 350 mah in case but the original one i had has only 300 mah.

I originally thought the sound was a little different due to the eartip's size. Right eartips for your ear will give the best sound.
When I try to A/B the original one with this one, I don't seem to find too much difference. So not sure if I am paranoid.

Maybe this is a newer updated version of the old one or this is a fake?
Not sure how I can confirm this..
The case in this one also seems to be little hingy
Last difference is the original one weighed 48 gm while this is 50 gms so i dont know.

      • There is a verified review photo on the taotronics website that shows a serial number in the case.

Back in stock for anyone following.

  • Has anyone had bad experiences with these? Is the quality the same as the old Taotronics Soundliberty 79?

    • +1

Sound is similar but the charging case is messed up. I have to constantly charge it.

      • So the battery life doesn't hold 8hrs/charge and 30hrs for the case like they claim?

        • +1

The original had this issue but after 1 year of use but the one I got already has this issue.
I did get 5 more but can't try those. Maybe someone else who bought it can also share their experience.

The earbuds battery is still good.
I feel like the case keeps on discharging even when the buds are fully juiced.

          • @kisshell9: I just ordered a pair, I'll see if mine will have the same issue. Anw $18 is a super bargain tho!
