Looking to Buy a Mesh Chair

I'm looking to buy a mesh chair with a budget of $400. I've got 3 chairs which I'm considering at the moment, but unsure what the comfort and adjustability is like.
I've included the links below.

  1. https://www.templeandwebster.com.au/Executive-Office-Chair-w…
  2. https://www.dicksmith.com.au/da/buy/ergolux-elliot-office-ch…
  3. https://www.kogan.com/au/buy/ergolux-london-office-chair-whi…

I've read some of the forums on Ozbargain related to these products, but want to know what the comfort is like after a couple months of use. In addition, are the chairs comfortable to sit in for more than 6hrs +? Also, is the mesh seat/bottom comfortable for long use? Please let me know of your experience with mesh bottom seats.

I am yet to try the chairs from Ikea, but will be very soon.

If you do have any other chairs which you think might be good feel free to recommend them.

Many thanks

    Is this for work?

Just spend a bit more and claim on tax. Considering you'll be spending 7 hours plus it's best to invest in a good ergonomic chair.

Personally, I've got a Steelcase Leap V1 which I like a lot. Herman Miller has a good reputation also.

    • No, this is for study as I'm just a student. I would like to get a Herman Miller but it's a bit out of my budget. I'll have a look into the Steelcase Leap V1. Thanks

      • Ahh I see. I actually got mine for a couple hundred on scumtree a few years ago. Might be worth checking out FB marketplace and office furniture resellers

This is very comfortable and decent value for the money: https://www.ikea.com/au/en/p/matchspel-gaming-chair-bomstad-…

    Don't buy from Kogan/Dick Smith.

    • Do you mind explaining the issue with buying from Kogan/Dick Smith? I've seen some people write similar things. I've bought stuff from them before and haven't had problems.

Dodgy company notorious for grey market imports without disclosure, lack of decent customer service and poor practises like price jacking. Not to mention being sued/fined several times and labelled as shonky by Choice.

They peddle cheap poor quality products with the fallacy of being cheap.

        • Do you know if mydeal.com.au is reliable and good? I've found some alternative versions of the same chair above but a slightly different name. The one on Kogan is called Ergolux whereas the one on Mydeal.com.au is called ErgoDuke and another websites has it as ErgoDc

          • @Blobfishman15: No idea, never used them. They all come out of the same factory with mark-ups applied for resale.

        • So in other words the same as Harvey Norman and the likes but the prices actually reflect the quality?

    • Is this basically a jarv but with a red black colourway?

      • Not quite. It's the collab between IKEA and ASUS ROG.

    i highly recommend something like

    https://www.alibaba.com/product-detail/Office-Chair-PU-Leath…

i've got a couple of old (better quality ones) that are easily able to provide support for 6-8 hours per day … failing that, traditional ergonomic …

the problem with mesh is that it's mesh … if you're skinny, bony ass will create dents, stretch & tear the material

  • Kogan…… Search for "Kogan" on OZBargain and read up on after sales support…….

Then check out who owns tricky dicky now days.

There are alloy of previous posts on chairs in Ozbargain and I would suggest looking them up and read the posts.

  • Another +1 for Ikea Markus.

  • quite happy with my ergohuman FIT IOO
the plastic based option can be had for low $400s on sale
