Even after the cashback, Petbarn's price is still expensiver than Budget Pet / Pet Circle (The product that I usually bought)

    • Those two are my go-to stores.

    • Wow yeah you're right. Checked out kitten dry food.
      $70.99 at Petbarn
      $48.74 at Pet Circle

    • -1

even without the cashback, Petbarn is cheaper than (or the same as) Budget Pet/Pet Circle for all of the products I buy (even taking into account each of them having standard discount or referral codes)

      • Example? Seems your experience is unusual

Pet circle is a bad business

      • +5

Why are they a bad business?

  • Still waiting on delivery on petbarn's previous deal 16/10 from Victoria

If you do order try click and collect instead

The budget petshop order placed 2/11 has arrived from Qland!

  • Almost enough cashback to make prices good. Almost.

Not for me, pet-circle is way better. Sometimes catch, Kogan etc have great specials too

  • one transaction or multiple?

  • decent price on Nexguard (at least the small dog one)

  • Reckon a frequent feeder coupon will invalidate the cashback?

  • Can anyone help me with the formula for calculating the correct cashback amount? I always seem to get it wrong

Eg if the item costs $100
    Is it 100- GST= 90
    Then 90 minus 25%= 67.5
Making the final purchase price $77.5 with cashback amount being $22.5

    Did I get it right?

    • -1

      Correct

    • Nearly but $100/1.1=$90.91, so GST is only $9.09

      • That's where I get confused
I always think of GST as 10%
Could you please explain why it is 100/1.1 thanks

        • GST is indeed 10%
10% of 90.91 is 9.09, so all adds up to 100.
So multiply gst exc by 1.1 to get gst inc
Therefore need to divide gst inc by 1.1 to get gst exc

  • Acceptable price on the Advance cat pouches made good with the hopeful cashback. Meow will be happy.

  • I buy Royal Canin Medium Adult Dog Food 15kg and they are the same price as the other places as suggested above.
This is a great for me, thanks OP

  • If you price match and then get a coupon.
Can you get cash back with it?

    • Ignore. That’s a NO

  • Shopback app notified me about this deal at 3:55PM and took so long to get through checkout etc that by the time it finally loaded the payment screen, it was past 4pm. Sick of getting notifications right at the end of the time window, sometimes after. (This happens on multiple devices)
