Free 3 Months Amazon Prime or $15 Amazon Gift Card for World and World Elite MasterCard Cardholders @ MasterCard

5433

New-to Amazon Prime (including trial) customers will enjoy 3 months (90 day) membership. Existing Amazon Prime (non-trial) customers will receive a AUD15 Amazon gift card directly into your Amazon wallet.

The exact same as this deal but now non-CommBank Mastercard holders can try and their luck. I was able to successfully get a $15 Amazon gift card. Note that some Platinum cards are actually World Mastercards.
.
Update: If you don't have an eligible card, follow this comment thread for an easy loophole method. Full credit to doweyy

Once you are successful, to get $15 Amazon credit click "Sign in" as shown here. It will only add a $15 gift card to your account if you already have an active paid for Prime membership on that account. Trial Prime membership won't work - It will be replaced by 3 months membership.

Update 23/11: Up and working again for eligible MasterCard holders.

  • what happens after 3 months? does it auto recharge us or just finish prime membership?

  • I just got a CBA card delivered and activated. First thing I did was get the $15 gift, worked without issue. Very happy :)

  • Wish didn't have to enter the card details twice

    Is this not a fraud?

    • Not sure what you mean? This is for eligible mastercard holders only.

  • Couldnt get it work with my CBA ultimate MC. When adding $15 amazon credit it keeps saying authorisation error on my card (not the BIN generator ones). This is an error from Amazon website. When I went back to MC website to try again it says the benefit has been claimed already.
Now I am stuck without the free credit oh well.

  • Anyone know if I cancel the credit card, will the 3 months trial automatically cancel?

    • Can’t be certain but the 3 months offer should have already been applied to your account.

  • I stuffed up and used by Citi Credit Card and unlocked the 3 month free Amazon Prime offer (instead of the $15 Gift Card that I actually wanted).

Can I use one of those card generators to generate a different Mastercard and apply it to my Amazon account via https://elevate.mastercard.com/benefit/product/168644/amazon… ?

Or wouldn't that work because I have already 'redeemed' the offer on my Amazon account using my Citi card?

    • If you didn't have prime before, you can only get the 3 months prime membership. You can't choose. The $15 is only if you already have prime. You can't redeem again to the same account

Just to let you know I managed to get the free trial on 17th November, however yesterday I got an email from Amazon that I will be charged on 17tg December! Turns out I only got one month free trial. I can't end membership online and now Amazon tells me they can't end membership and the mastercard has to do it and mastercard says they don't even have my Amazon account details hence they can't. I spent about 2 hours on the phone yesterday and talked to two Amazon people and two mastercard ones and was passed vetwee them like a ball. Be aware!

    • So what happened in the end?

I removed my CC details from my account so they can't charge it. I called Amazon again and they said, they still can't do anything, but the agent asked me to not add the card back until 17th when the system will attempt to charge my card and when it can't, the subscription automatically gets cancelled. Pretty embarrassing system for company like Amazon…

        • Not sure if that will work given it says billed through third party which means MasterCard will take the payment vs Amazon directly. Let us know how it goes, in the same boat here except my last live chat with Amazon they said they can cancel it when it's expiring… Guess the story changes depends on the agent.

    • yes, same issue here, still waiting for Amazon to dissolve this, not happy at all where on the site it clearly states in their Disclaimer: Cancel anytime by visiting ‘Manage Prime Membership’ in ‘Your Account’ on Amazon.com.au and adjust your membership settings.

  • Amazon chat also told me they can’t cancel the subscription and I need to contact MasterCard.

  • Same issue

Ring Amazon they said to ring MasterCard
rang MasterCard they said to ring Amazon I deleted payment methods on Amazon account
    I emailed elevate_ AustraliaMasterCard.
Promised three months free trial only got one
    Hopefully gets resolved

    • My first month is ending next week. Wondering if you get your 3 free trial months from MC?

  • On the other thread someone said Mastercard will take care of the last two months even though shows everyone 1 month validity on Amazon..

  • I've tried with Westpac Altitude Black as well as a few others without any success.

It appears to be expired? Has anyone else had any recent success??

For those wondering mine automatically renewed another month for free. Now showing Prime 17th January 22

    • Brilliant! Your experience is quite different from https://www.ozbargain.com.au/comment/11492469/redir
Did you also remove your MC as a payment on your Amazon account to avoid them charging the monthly sub in case MC offer only 1 free month instead of 3?

      • I didn't remove my MC as payment but I'm gonna make sure I will after the final month just in case they try and charge me

  • How do you get a World Elite MasterCard ?

  • Tried this on my Bankwest Debit (didn’t work) and now i have this on my transaction list…

No Tx recorded but it will make me think twice inputing card details into a website without buying anything in the future - even if it is the card issuer…

The last month of my trial starts today, and the billing option finally shows up correctly.

    • Same here. Able to end it myself which is good.

    • Same here. Bought nothing. Everything on Amazon is way too expensive (even with Prime).

      • yep..too expensive or out of stock.

    • Yep. Good thing as it says "no card on file".
