Decent PSU for the price if you can't wait for Corsair discounts. $199 RRP.

Good deal for 850W Gold modular PSU. Going to grab one for the PC that I'm building my Dad. Even though his build will never pull 400W it's good for longevity and no fan spin since low load.
It does reduce the efficiency of the PSU, meaning it will draw more power from the wall for the same load compared to a better matched, lower rated PSU. Also this is OzBargain and a $60-70 PSU would do, so hand in yer card
Yeah very valid point but the cheaper PSU don't have 10 year warranty and this can last for a 2nd build in 5 years.
My Dad will be running it in the business where he has a lot of high powered machinery, I don't think he will notice the difference on the power bill.
the only decent cheap thing coolermaster make is a small atx case with lots of holes in (https://www.amazon.com.au/Cooler-Master-MasterBox-Transparen...).
don't reinvent the wheel buy corsair psu
These actually rank in the same tier as the Corsair RM's, and the cheapest similarly specced Corsair unit is $179.
This is objectively a good deal.
