PNY XLR8 RGB DDR4 3600MHz CL18 16GB (2x8GB) RAM $85 + Delivery ($0 C&C NSW) @ PC Byte

530

This might be of interest to some:

  1. RGB, Check.
  2. 3600mhz, Check.
  3. Under $100, Potentially Check (Depending where you live).
  4. Mostly Positive reviews, Check (Depending where you look).

I live in Metro Vic, and getting delivery qoute of $9.90. So would be $94.90 for me.

Only issue is that the description doesn't match the title (3200mhz is described, Also says this kit is CL16 but I'm 100% sure it's CL18). The manufacturer product number in titles matches the 3600mhz version though. Also, there is a seperate 3200mhz listing on PC Byte. So fairly certain this price is for the 3600mhz version.

I did some googling and best I could find for timings for this kit is 18-20-20-42. Described here: https://www.pbtech.com/product/MEMPNY12018/PNY-XLR8-RGB-Desk…

Might interest those on a tight budget and willing to take the risk despite somewhat mismatched info on the PC Byte website.

    • This is 3600Mhz compared to the 3200Mhz kit you listed

  • Will these fit in a SFF PC?

Depends on your case and the CPU cooler dimensions.

Been running some of these for several months now and have had no issues. Bought them at the time as i wanted white ram sticks, the PNY XLR8's in white were the cheapest.
Don't have the first clue in overclocking ram so that wasn't a requirement, but they've been running fine under the XMP profile with a 5600x cpu.
If the white was this cheap i'd buy another set.

    • Thanks for sharing, this helps puts some confidence behind the brand!

      • if your buying ram, unless your buying some green pcb no name brand, the brand really doesnt matter. just check you have a warranty that you think its good, and good speed and timings and your set

    • Is the RGB customisable? thanks

I can adjust the RGB with the MSI software.

keep in mind there's only 5 leds per ram module, so the light diffuses really weird. search "PNY XLR8 RGB" on YouTube and you'll see what I mean. The bad rgb lighting may be a let-down for some.

  • Can the LEDs be disabled ?

    • should be, yes

  • thanks bought one last night, still processing though
