[NSW, QLD, VIC] Pre-Departure Express PCR Test and 1 Day PCR $79 @ Histopath (International Departure Terminals)

1873

I think PCR tests prices are slowly coming down.
As Histopath has reduced their prices for all testing including PCR $79 and PCR plus antibody(for China) $120

I used myself this for 1 day pcr test. I visited walk in clinic at 1300 and received my certificates just after 4 hours .

Thanks to@ Abure Bauer

  • Hi All- need some inputs if anyone advised. My travel on overseas 730AM but airport test center opens at 6AM. Can i go to center day before and take test or airport test center allowing for PCR test only for those travelling same day.
Any one taken the test in Airport location day or two days before flight departure date

    Thank you

    • Read the reviews, it’s confusing. some people said they would allow the next day passenger, some said not. Best is to go to a community location

      • Sure, i am Victoria and only option for me is airport

        • Since they are requesting to arrive at least 4 hours prior to check in time it make sense that they allow the early morning flight passenger to take the test at least one day before travel.

The latest update from Melbourne Airport :

          https://www.melbourneairport.com.au/Passengers/Passenger-inf…

Due to unprecedented demand, Histopath’s express pre-departure COVID-19 testing at Melbourne Airport is now only available on the day of departure. Passengers must show evidence of flight details to be accepted for testing. Please arrive at least 4 or 5 hours prior to check-in time. Please note, testing for domestic passengers is not available at Melbourne Airport.

  • We used this service Christmas Day at Sydney International.
Our flight was a 9.30am departure Boxing Day and we visited the testing clinic at 8.00pm Christmas Day.

We were greeted by security. We showed that we had prepaid and that our flight was at 9.30am which meant we’d have to be at the check in counter at 5.30am.

The security guard seemed a little hesitant but let us through. There was no queue…. Literally no queue, we walked straight up to a tester, had it done. Results sent via email and SMS 45 minutes later.

I understand the need for over zealous security guards when the testing facility is overrun, but not when testing staff are literally inside twiddling their thumbs.

A+ service except for the security folk who need to calm the farm down.

    • You are lucky. When I went there in the morning the line was so long, spent almost 90 minutes

      • 45 mins for me but later that day (I came to get mine early) it looked like several hours at least.

  • FF a year and looks like Histopath is still the cheapest option.

    • good to know:)
