Mine cam a few days ago from the last time they had this on. Good stuff. Now I don't have to turn off my computer and switch over data cables just to use my DVD drive.

  • Not working for me - must be expired?

  • And expired…sigh

    • i just bought the 3 packs seconds ago. but yes the code not workign. still, $1.95 not bad

Crappy SATA 1 cables, they won't give you good speeds if you have SATA 3 ssd.

    • Not necessarily true. The cable architecture is exactly the same. It's possible they might use inferior quality components that mean they don't work at SATA3, but that's unlikely.

      • -2

If it's SATA3, don't you think it will SAY SATA3, or at least SATA2?

        • The cables don't have a type / version. A SATA cable is a SATA cable. As before, it's possible they use inferior quality components as the SATA specification mentioned it's possible for this to cause problems with SATA3, but it's very unlikely that that's the case.

Having seen SATA cables sold with SATA2 or SATA3 specifications before, I think it is more likely than not that these cables won't max out SATA3 speed (or even SATA2).

        • And the possibility that manufacturers put labels on them so that people upgrade without reason hasn't occurred to you? The cables are exactly the same. Watch this video if you want: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CAevDkRvyok&feature=plcp&cont…

He discusses the differences between SATA3 6GB/s cables and SATA2 3GB/s cables from 2 minutes onwards.
