    Yes, but thought the prices for 2k versions floodlights (newer model) were decent

  The price on the Video Doorbell 2K with Home Base is no different to its full price a few weeks ago. Same price as bunnings too.

  Have they just jacked up the price so it perfectly discounts to its original price? Or is there an error and the discount hasn't actually been applied?

    Wow that's disturbing. The initial design oversight aside, almost a year after the vulnerability was found, acknowledged by Eufy, promised of a fix in 1-2 months, and still nothing's been fixed. I've recommended these cams to friends as recently as last month without knowing this issue. Most owners would have no idea.

      I was looking at getting 2 camera as part of Black Friday sales but finding that has made me reconsider.
      Not sure what the chances are of being caught out by it, but you never know.

        I've had a couple of the 2C cameras for about a year and just bought a couple more. Not loving finding out about this now! Although I send all of my footage to HomeKit Secure Video so potentially I'm protected there if someone did exploit one of my exposed cameras.

          @buthidae: Yeah, I would be looking at sending the video to my Synology NAS so would hopefully be okay if someone knew the flaw and exploited it.

            @whatisk: Good point. Mitigating the issue by duplicating the recordings would suffice for many. Just hope nothing else surfaces otherwise chances are it won't be fixed.
