I posted the Bing Lee retail store deal but noticed that there is a bigger saving if you have Ebay Plus and purchase the laptop via their store front there.

If you have Ebay Plus, you get can get another $103.95 using the "PLBF5" code. That brings the price down to $1975.05 + Delivery

Might be 15% off this Friday?

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/666035

  • Thats some serious specs for a decent price. Wish i was in the market for a gaming laptop however according to @Juiciness above if we get further 15% off i might bite the bullet. rip

and an extra 3% cashback on ebay giftcards on shopback.

    • The panel alone kills the deal.

Jarrod puts it in D tier, loses out to some 3060 models.

ASUS can’t build home/office laptops right so what makes you think they’re any more capable of creating a competent gaming laptop? 95W 3070 is an insult. Wouldn’t be suprised if 1Rx16 RAM is in there too.

    • Hmmm I've got about 5 laptops in my house, all Asus, from Zenbook, Vivobook, TUF & Zephyrus. All never had a problem and even a 10 year old Pro60SL thats still firing along.

Also, considering the World Wide chipset shortage, 90% of Laptops all ship with 1Rx16 RAM. My Asus TUF and Zephyrus actually came with 1Rx8, which was a surprise.

    • Just bought an asus zenbook for my wife. Beautiful notebook

    • I have an 8 year old ROG laptop and it is still kicking arse.
      I don’t know what you’re talking about.

  • I've got the 2021 A17 5800H/3060. Only 2 Cons to the laptop TUF series.

    1. No MUX switch or advance optimus
    2. Average screen - 250nits 62% sRGB.

Thermals have improved from their 2020 version. Never had any thermal throttling issues for the first month. I have since started using Thermalright TFX which drastically reduce my temps at load to 84c CPU/72c GPU from 94c CPU/78c GPU.

    I got my A17 for $1990.

    • How much would you pay somebody to thermal paste this laptop.

Let's say you provide the paste what would be a fair price to ask someone to basically open up your laptop and apply it.

I was estimating maybe something like $25.

  • I had one of these and it died within 3 weeks

  • Considering that it is one of the most popular gaming laptops sold I expect you would be covered under your statutory warranty if there was an issue.

  • SRGB = 62.5%

In other words, this screen is very cheap and nasty….

  • Decent deal + 5% eBay plus code might pull the trigger.
