The IXO cordless screwdriver from Bosch can be used for everyday tasks in and around the house, such as: assembling furniture, tightening screws or small repairs.
Have full control from beginning to end thanks to the infinitely variable speed control simply by applying pressure to the switch, from low to high.
Working with reduced rotations makes the IXO even more reliable than before by avoiding damaging the workpiece, splintering wood or over-spinning on screw heads.
Work comfortably, always having a detailed look at the battery charge level as the Bosch screwdriver features a 3-LED battery indicator.
When the battery needs to be recharged it can be done easily: just attach the micro USB cable to a power plug, laptop, or power bank and have the battery fully charged in 3.5 hours.

  • Got the one with dock . Not sure if they are same. Great for day to day use

    • IXO VI includes speed control.

    • Hopper, the one you got is v4 IV…
      This one is v6 VI

v5 V is also available for $50 with more attachements and charger but no variable speed control based on how hard you press.

    • this one got extra attachments, making it bit more practical.
I have a IXO 3, and found the torque adjustment is the most useful one, and the blower attachment is the most funny one.

Good for flat pack assembly, especially the ikea stuff. I’d buy one if I didn’t have a similar Ryobi one from 10 years ago…

    • same i have the big bosch from 10 years ago with lithium battery charging dock…
but this one still micro usb so i am happy to wait for next generation

  • Difficult to choose… this one has adjustable speed but no attachment for difficult to reach areas…older version comes with attachment but has no adjustable speed. 😟

It took me years to pull the trigger and buy one of these because I always had my wife on my shoulder saying "why do you need it?". I'm so glad I did last year because it's made any small jobs involving screws so much easier.

  • Any reason to get this if you already use a cordless drill?

    • +2

The variable speed is a lot more useful. A drill can be more difficult to get the speed you want, these are a piece of cake.

Plus the size, weight and screwbit is just held in by a magnet (so you just pull the bits in and out) it's just really convenient. Granted, comes down to how much you use it, I lost my old one but if I was moving house I'd buy one again just for the ease of use despite having a drill and huge screwdriver set for it.

    • they are smaller easy handle, and much lower torque to handle small screws properly.
I found it is handy to use is around computer parts…

    Looks like back to $79

The black one is still available for $59

  • Get one with onboard bit changing like the PSR Select or the Worx and you won't look back!

Hoping that goes on sale this year.
