    This seems cheap :)

    Waiting for pjc to confirm….

    • +14

It's a good price for this specific item, but I'm still pleased with my $15 Black & Decker Gyro. My best Bunnings bargain ever, I'm surprised I forgot to plus-vote.

      • +2

Ha. This deal still makes me happy, such a great tool. Wish I got more. Will be sad if mine dies.

        • +1

I was too hard-nosed to get more. They would have been excellent gifts.

        • +1

@PJC: exactly what I did, brodened them for presents, given 3 aww so far

        • @Jackson: Excellent strategy. It really is a great tool.

        • Havent used one myself on account of having full size drills and impacts, but at least one person said that it was an awesome tool

        • +1

I chucked mine out last week. Stopped working a year or two back. Dont think i used it enough and assume the battery failed or something. I was more often using this bargain anyway
          https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/93326 from the same week.
Its stopped working as well but im still holding onto it for some reason.

      • +2

        Love mine too! Brilliant.

      • +2

+1 that you still remember the deal.
touchwood. 4+ years the gyro still working perfectly.
and we are still hanging around ozb. Lol.

      • +3

exactomundo… bought 2 and they still running strong.

      • +1

agree, it’s awesome, will pay full price if the old one dies

  • Grabbed one. Thanks OP

  • These are good. Really need the torque adapter though, and then you have to remove it each time in order to fit in the charger.

  • +2

Bought it for $60+ dollars a few year ago. It is a must if you need to assemble furnitures from time to time. Highly recommended

  • +1

I bought one of these a few years ago and it's still going strong. Great amount of torque and good charge on them.

Considering getting another one at this price.

  • Thanks - bought one!

Make that two - Dads birthdays coming up

  • +12

Save $60 from RRP or your normal selling price? A quick Google shows your advertised price at $47.95.

    • aww man, had hoped it was an absolute bargain and blindly pulled the trigger on 2 of them. I guess I can pretend it is by sticking my head in the sand and hoping their normal delivery cost is $50+. Luckily people are saying its still a great product!

      • +1

I don't doubt its a great product. Infact I was interested with how this thing gets charged with micro USB. What stopped me from ordering is how this deal mislead peoples.

  • +5

Don't need it, purchased it anyway.

    • +1

      The Ozbargain motto!

  • Can I use this to drill hole in wall/brick and hang stuff?

    • You might need an attachment for the drill or a drill that has a hex shape at the end. Sorry I'm no handy man so I dunno the terminology. :P

    • +1

Not really, it's really just an electric hand. Extremely useful, best money I ever spent.

    • +3

You better spend a little bit of money to buy cordless drill or impact gun which will give you more power. 150+ Nm more torque. This is only good for assembly furniture

      • Sorry I’m total noob here, vice versa, if I buy such item you said, can I use it for lesser tasks like assembling furniture?

        • This & Ikea = marriage in heaven.

        • you can adjust the power down.

        • Compare to the size this one will be more handy. small and compact.

        • Buy the Rockwell hammer drill from SCA when they put it down to 48 bucks, can drill masonry, wood/metal, and screw. Will do everything with thr compromise of only having one unit, meaning you have to change out your bits which is fine if you don't use it all the time for drilling and screwing at once

        • @Jackson: I wouldn't consider a mains hammer drill an equivalent replacement for this driver. It would have a ton of torque which could easily damage what you're trying to screw.

This would be a great complement to a hammer drill. They both do different things.

If the OP doesn't need to drill into brick, just gyprock/plasterboard walls, this screwdriver will drive plasterboard anchors/wallmates into a wall easily.

        • @eug: it's not mains it's lithium Ion and comes with 2 batteries. For 8 bucks more he is better off getting the drill he can use for n lots of things rather than a screw driver. If he has to ask these questions it can be assumed he shouldn't be spending lots of money on an array of tools.

        • +1

@Jackson: Ahh ok sorry, I was only familiar with their mains-powered drills. In that case, if he really wants to drill through brick, then yup something like the Rockwell is the way to go. This would be good if lots of light-duty screwing needs to be done - it's a lot lighter.

        • @eug: yeah absolutely, tbh I do t use anything except the impact driver these days, and if it's too light duty I just use a regular screwdriver. Still dumbfounded that the Rockwell only gets 10-20 up votes, has to be the deal of the year for power tools for the home user

        • @Jackson: If you don't want to wait and need to drill into brick, the XU1 hammer drill from bunnings at like $23.10

          Its surprisingly grunty

        • @Matt P: thanks for the heads up but Ialready got 3 drills :) I am saying it for the benefit of the bloke who needs one.

    • +3

No. This is a screwdriver, not a drill.

  • These are great around the house and for putting furniture s together. This is an older model but still great

  • Any one tried price beat at Bunnings?

    • Personally not having to get out from behind my computer is worth the $4 - love included delivery! Means I won't miss out on another bargain I don't need via this site.

    • +2

Yep, just did it, 35.91 and will pay with discounted Bunnings GC from Coles for another 4% off!

  • Hello, ordered but spelt my name wrong. Have sent an email to you guys to amend!
    Thank you.

    • We will ensure this gets done.

  • +1

We also have two products on sale, please note they are damaged carton. Still come with a full warranty.

  • Used to have one of these until I upgraded to a Worx slider one during Masters clean out. Would not go back to one without some kind of onboard bit holder even if it was say an Ozito one. Very handy having bit shifting as a lot of furniture is a combination of hex and Philips/flat head screws.

When on special they don't cost much more than this.

    • I hope you paid no more than this.

      • +1

d'oh! Sadly no I paid more, but about the same price as this. We gave our Bosch IXO to someone else after that.

Dunno what's wrong with it; it's put in all the screws I've need to fine, used the onboard screw start drill bit often too.

  • bought. the ozbargain collective mindset is strong.

  • +1

    Out of stock!

  • Signed up, had it in cart, went to check out, sold out… too slow…

  • +1

    Brodened!

  • Was researching about this drill, just when I refreshed this page, it went out of stock. Next time.

    • Good thing it did, if you are after a drill, this isn't one

  • Have one of these from a gift, they are excellent!

  • +1

Thanks OP, tempted but One more drill and my wife will drill me….been drilled 4 times before…this would be 5th…:-(

    • What type of drill bit is she using on you…

      • Titanium

    • maybe time to look at something like these
      https://www.toolswarehouse.com.au/irwin-record-bolt-cutter-r…

    • +1

      Tell her it's a screwdriver.

      • +1

The problem is, she might put that on gumtree selling as screw driver for $1.00…;-)

        • +1

Maybe you should be pleased these are out of stock.

        • +1

@PJC: yep, didnt let me add to cart, but was a really good deal..

    • I've done it successfully (see my comment above), but I guess it's YMMV

      • nice.. thanks.. didn't had energy to read all previous comments :)

      • Will you be able to share the receipt then we can all get that price haha?

        • +2

Yeah sure, I will upload it later tonight

        • +2

          Here is the receipt

        • @feihong: Thank you very much mate.

    • The one sold by warehouse is version IV while the bunnings one is version V.

      • +1

Yep, so I think it really depends on how strict the checkout personnel is.

        • +1

Great, do you still get 10 drill bits? Like the version IV? Also can they still price match when the competitor is out of stock?

        • +1

          @htc:
They shouldn't do that according to their policy but no harm trying your luck. Most of them won't think too much about price matching such a cheap item.

        • @htc: Screwdriver bits.

        • @truetypezk: agreed

        • I once try to price match a 120 phone from Officeworks with mobileciti. But they refused to price match their discounted price after applying the Halloween coupon. Ended up buying from mobileciti. It was waste of time and unpleasant experience from OW. Yes, really depends on who you meet, I am sure if I meet another person, they would have price matched it!

  • +1

$46.90 delivered from their ebay store, these are great little units.
Mine lasted 3 years of solid use until I somehow lost the damn charger and dock ???
Version V is probably the same as IV,
It might even have cheaper sourced battery in it to save a few bucks, esp now this unit has a great reputation…
You never know these days !

  • +1

IMO unless you are using this to introduce power tools to your kids, you will be much better off getting a cheap drill driver set such as this one: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/351332
I think at least they should include a built-in torque ring to work well in real world.

    • Personally I'm getting this in order to have both. The Bosch is for building IKEA furniture or whatever else doesn't actually require much power and where a smaller driver is more practical, and the Ozito is for drilling & driving more substantial things.

      • Yeah, if your task doesn't require a lot of power, a smaller, lighter driver like this is a lot less fatiguing if you have a lot to do.

  • There's also this deal if you just want the cutting adpater, more useful for me as I already own a flexible drill bit.

    https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/New-Bosch-IXO-06039A8043-Cordles…

    • I already own a flexible drill bit.

That doesn't sound very useful. :)

      • What do you mean? you can bend it to fit small corners. The flexible bit just attaches to the drill.

        This thing:
        https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/295mm-Flexible-Drill-Shaft-Socke…

        • It was a joke - a flexible drill bit wouldn't be useful because it wouldn't be able to drill holes.

A flexible extension, on the other hand… :)

        • @eug: Lol big mistake, but yeah the extension arm. The cutting adapter normally sells for $40-50 so better off to get that one.

  • Highly recommend it. Very handle when putting furniture's together. I paid $100 about 6 years ago at Bunnings.

  • I realised I still haven't received it.

    • edit, turns out they ran out of stock for about two dozen orders.
