Pretty good deal. I bought this same TV around 6 months ago for $6,599.
Wouldn't recommend it though. I have the LG OLED C1 65" in the bedroom and that's a far better TV than this Samsung however wanted an 85" which LG doesn't make in OLED.
They make an 83 inch. Not quite 85 but close enough
Yes I noticed that. When I bought mine (Around April 2021) , The LG only did the OLED to 77 inch (GX). The LG 83 inch is a new model out recently.
If I was in the market now, I would certainly take the LG OLED 83" over this Samsung 85"
Just to play devil's advocate, I returned a 77" C1 for the 85" QN85 and was way happier*.
The sales assistant thought I was crazy, but in the bright living room the extra brightness and size was amazing.
*I upgraded from a 65" OLED so I think maybe there wasn't as much wow to justify the price of the C1. Theres no doubt the OLED is way better, especially in a darker room!
Love the centre stands. Why don't they make more TVs with the centre stands? Only really expensive ones has it.
I bought one today, JB said they wouldn't price match and that it was a great deal. I took another $15 off with newsletter sign up and $59 back through shipback so around $4150
