  These have been price jacked for sure. I've been seeing those D101S's in the Low-Mid $600's for a good year now.

    Hi Danny,

    RRP is $524.13 USD, converted to Aussie and with GST is $800 AUD inc. So we sell at below RRP at normal price. There was a manufacturer price rise on Aug 2nd 2021 of around 10%, so you may have seen them lower prior to that.

    Hi Bartoq,

    At a very high level, similar functionality. But at a detailed level, they play in very different worlds. The Ring and others similar are great for inexpensive DIY smart doorbell. The Doorbird adds such things as:

    Relays to control doors, gates, garage doors etc
    A complete access control ecosystem so multiple access points to your property/home can be controlled from the one app
    Some models have keypads so you can set codes for regular visitors, or even one off visits
    Some models have RFID for keyfob access similar to above
    An open API so you can integrate to other devices via SIP and HTTP
    Integration with many brands of home control (control4, RTI, etc) CCTV System (Hikvision, Dahua), and many more
    German engineering with 3mm stainless steel fascias and many colours and finishes to match gates/doors/facades
    Online configurator to customise your own intercom in terms of size, finish, call buttons
    and many more
    So on the surface - similar, but lift the hood - very different.
