  • Highly recommended. The only issue is the battery can’t last very long with RGB light on.

  • according to the photo in the description , it should be a plastic frame.
the alum frame in the title should be the positioning board?

Keychron Q1 should be with the real alum housing

    • Some models have an additional four piece aluminium frame that goes on top of the plastic housing. That's what's being referred to - you can see it in the main product photo. None of the models with the aluminium frame have a full aluminium body.

Thanks, second day in the office and realised how much i love my k8 at home so bought one for work.

    • Which colour switches did you use for the office? Anyone commented on the loudness of your keyboard?

      • +1

I ended up with red for the office (and i didnt bother with the hot-swap version which i got for home). No one has said anything to me yet but i guess its still early. Not too concerned though, if they do decide its annoying i can always give it to my wife.

  • Which are the quietest switches out if the 3 to get? And for gaming is the high layout uncomfortable for longer sessions?

    • linear red is the quietest out of 3 IMHO, a keyboard wrist rest is highly recommended

    • Please do note that linears are still fairly loud depending on how you type.

If you want something quiet, you can either go for a silent switch (which has silicone dampeners inside). That said, there are options outside of Cherry MX style switches that feels nice as well. Topre and Topre clone are well received by people who like mechanical keyboards for example.

  • Which one is best for gaming?

  • I was trying to hold out for a K10….but Keychrons so rarely go on sale. Let's see how confusing these 'inline' arrow keys are!

  • Which one is the best one with the most quietest- red switch ??

  • I ended up going through BPC Tech for $111 delivered. I know some have had issues with them in the past but thought it was worth a shot.

    • Wait that actually may be worth if it's genuinely the aluminium frame. The picture doesn't quite look like it?
