Word of caution for the buyers:

I signed up for Surf Shark since I already had Nord before. I have Avira Antivirus and she and Surf Shark dont play well. I added Surf Shark on the exception list but Avira still blocks host file change during connection establishment. Not sure if Surf Shark needs to change the host file and whether I can let Avira let it happen so I went to live chat customer service.

VPN service customer service flat out told me that I should disable Antivirus while using VPN and then there will be no antivirus popups.
I don't even know where to begin but considering a refund and gtfo.

Nord VPN was so crap. I went straight back to Express VPN.

Bough 2 years on yesterday 27/11 at 3pm still not track this morning, any one know what is the normal wait?

    • If no tracking after a day, I’d strongly advise cancelling and re-buying via my tips here. Cheers.

      • @tigharse
Thanks, did cancel / refund request through NordVPN chat then re-ordered this morning which tracked $103 at around 1 hour.

        • There you you. Thanks for confirming :)

  • Hey,

I purchased the 2 year plan, realised I accidentally also purchased the NordPass product, so I cancelled it. This one tracked fine in Cashrewards.

So I purchased another 2 year plan under a different (new) email at 3pm yesterday, with the same Cashrewards account. This one hasn't tracked. Anyone know whether this will track or not? Or if there's a delay?

    • If no tracking after a day, I’d strongly advise cancelling and re-buying via my tips here. Cheers.

  • I presume you have to use a card that doesn't charge foreign transaction fee?

  • Stack with referral bonus?

  • Nord doesn't get me to Netflix US, not through their "Smart DNS" feature as well.

    WIll Surfshark do the job?

  • I'm about to buy this, and need to know, does it make any difference to the cashback if I use Paypal to pay? Does the use of Paypal delay the cashback process, considering Paypal has 180 days of dispute window? I googled this question and surprisingly nobody has talked about it. I'd hate to use Paypal and run into a problem after it's done.

  • Has changed to $89 USD from $79, which means around $121 AUD and will only track $103, so will have to around $18 AUD difference rather than just $5

    • Correction: Looks like it tracked $116 AUD for me, so works out roughly the same as the $79 USD deal.

  • For those of you who purchased NordVPN here is an interesting articles

  • From the title of the first link you provided …
    "NordVPN-linked company…" - Not NordVPN itself. And …

From the source used in your first link …
"The copyright infringement lawsuit (trial info) involves Tesonet and Luminati Networks, which are believed to be the parent companies behind NordVPN and HolaVPN, respectively."
    … and …
"But we must make something clear: there is no proof or allegation that the NordVPN app itself – or ProtonVPN for that matter – resells users’ bandwidth."

From the source of your second link …
"Judge orders mediation after jury orders Oxylabs to pay $7.5m in latest episode of proxy wars".

Nothing that you've linked shows NordVPN has directly done anything wrong. Stop scaremongering unless you have actual proof.

    • You know what's funny, NordVPN is hiding behind a shell corp. So it's impossible to find out who owns what until some internal document gets leaked.

VPN is about trust. If they had nothing to hide why hide behind a shell corp?

I'm just putting some information out there for people to make up their own minds
