    Err…just bought the M5 Deco for $200.

Is this just as good? It's for my an old 4 bedroom 1 story house.

If so, I might just return the M5.

    • Oh who’s got it for $200?

      • Amazon. I think it should still be available

    • Apparently from my limited reading M5 are better than M4/S4. I bought the M5 and I'm sticking with them.

But I only had a quick read and I don't know how much better. M5 seems to have a faster CPU and faster 2.4g band.

Correct M5 are a better unit

I have these and can vouch for them. Easy to set up and great coverage across my home. Using with the Ethernet backhaul.

      Good to hear.
Today I bought a set for family members. I hoping the wireless backhaul (I know not dedicated) will do a decent job without the Ethernet backhaul.

It’s a 3 level split townhouse. NBN modem on the top level, so will help I assume to flow down. 130 square meters internal space.

They can add Ethernet backhaul in the future. But they haven’t in the past put much effort into networking 😆😅

    FINALLY jumping on the mesh-wagon!

  • Is TP-Link Deco S4 better than Deco M5?
    Anyone who has tried both

    • My memory of the specs, the M5 is a superior product.

Thanks OP. Snagged one. Maybe the last big purchase of this disappointing Black friday weekend.
