Oh they’re having a laugh with these apple Bluetooth headphone prices.

    • -8

Last time I said that I butthurt the Apple fanbois.
Apparently these are worth every dollar and will change your life.

      • -4

Haha yeah they all got mad at me yesterday when I made a similar comment on $300+ apple ear buds.

        • +7

It's weird how no one says anything on the two thousand dollar Google Android phones.

Google Android being an operating system created to collect data in order to remove more money from the device owner.

          • -1

@Diji1: It's a bit misleading to say Android's sole purpose is to collect data for Google. Android the open source operating system and the proprietary Google service blobs included by default on every commercially available handset are separate things.

            • +1

@snep: Do you honestly think that Android development wouldn't immediately halt of Google wasn't bankrolling it? If your answer is anything other than yes, the two are tied in intent. We all know that the Google of today would do anything they could to not open-source Android. Credit where credit is due, but no credit where none is due.

          • +2

@Diji1: @Diji1: Hahaha. It's funny because you're all arguing about the quality of the leather your slaves whip you with

            • @sutiive: I like that statement. One day I will put it on my Facebook. Do I follow it with “- sutiive”?

            • @sutiive: slaves?

        • +11

          You arrived on cue.

          • +7

@LuckyDrew: I am here to do the lords work.

          • @LuckyDrew: Ignore them. They are everywhere.

            • @dealsucker: Yeah, I’ll put in my $32 Soundpeats Bluetooth headphones and ignore them.

              • @LuckyDrew: Oh so you belong to the elk as well. They are indeed everywhere.

              • -5

@LuckyDrew: Best idea to do so too.
ApplePuds are like when the Momentum 3s came out, but Senheisser actually know a thing or two about audio, Apple just like to pretend they do.

        • +6

Apple's own eco system is horrible, how do I listen to music without Itunes?, oh yeah I can't.

I can't tell if you're joking or if you just haven't found the App Store yet.

          • +1

@Zackeroo: How do I listen to my tunes on an Iphone? It was a real question, I have an Iphone right next to me that has never really ever been used, due to the Itunes import BS.

            • @[Deactivated]: A simple search on Google would point you towards Spotify, YouTube Music, Tidal, Apple Music, Amazon Music…

              I could go on forever.

For an "expert audio engineer", I'm surprised you didn't know you could stream music on an iPhone.

              • +2

@Zackeroo: I never once said I was an "audio engineer" nor an "expert" one, where ever did you get that assumption from?
So how do "I" listen to "MY" tunes on an Iphone? you know my .wavs?

                • +1

@[Deactivated]: PLex + plexamp/prism. Works an absolute treat. I use it on adroid devices too, and it absolutely shits on manually copying to a phone. Adds all of the meta data for you.

                  • @ONEMariachi: Much appreciated, thank you. I am familiar with plex as use it with my Shield.

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: You mean your illegally downloaded tunes?

              • +1

                @deltaray: I don't have anything "illegally downloaded"

            • +2

@[Deactivated]: Did you just call out apple’s ecosystem lol??? Go drink some water you are drunk.

              • +1

                @sauce2k: I don't know, did you?

                • @[Deactivated]: Lol you are such a troll.

                  • +1

@sauce2k: You cannot deflect by calling some troll all because not one person was able to answer my question, how do I listen to my .wavs on an Iphone?

                    • +3

@[Deactivated]: Get one of those apps that let you play music off your cloud storage. I had one years ago that let me listen to my flac collection

            • +1

@[Deactivated]: Johnny, iTunes has been defunct for years. Nobody is using that to listen to music on their Apple devices

              • @RatBargain: Needing it to transfer is another matter, how do I get to listen to my .wavs on my Iphone.
So many users on here, no one able to answer a simple question.

          • +2

            @Zackeroo:

            I can't tell if you're joking

That's because he's trying to be funny and succeeding on every turn. I was literally rolling on the floor when he said "betterererer" and I spat out my coffee when he said "itunes". Amazing material. Give this man a logie. Watch out, Dave Chapelle.

            • +4

@Simon Wright: I feel like they were originally serious but realized how much of a joke their comments were…

They made an excellent decision to pursue a career as a comedian/clown.

        • -1

          Ethics?

          You mean like:

          • Planned Obsolescence
          • Anti-trust, Anti-consumer, Anti-repair practices
          • Underpaid and unpaid wages
          • Reliance on Child Labor
          • @Orpheon: You obviously missed the point of my post.

      • Heck I have been a heavy Apple user for thirty five years but I would never consider the Airpods Max due to the ridiculous, insulting my intelligence price for these Bt headphones.

Everyone should just boycott this product to teach Tim Cook a lesson.

        • +1

          Thank you for your transparency.

      • +1

Oof, this comment took me straight back to 2012. Smartphone wars all over again!

        • -1

Or the "Macs can't right click" whinging, and explicitly maliciously photoshopped screenshots used to claim that Macs can't run code that wasn't sourced from the App Store. This sort of anti-Apple whinging is just 'boomers sharing Facebook posts about Barrack Hussein Obama drinking the blood of children' but for neckbeards. At the very least, a similar level of fact-checking.

      • The reality is that anyone using Apple gear will hear 100 comments identical to yours if they're hanging out on these sorts of spaces. Your comment is unoriginal and persuades nobody. Its only purpose is a self-congratulatory self-high-five, and doesn't add to the discussion. Do you really think that someone that buys a pair of these headphones hasn't heard of Bluetooth headphones or isn't aware of their prices? Accept that some people see value in the product that you don't, and move on. You don't need to be an "Apple fanboy" to see your comment as worthy of a downvote.

    • +2

What HiFi rate these very high, and they are not the kind of publication to rate Apple products high just for the branding, or even to review them at all.

  • +5

Still expensive at half the price

  • +4

I have a pair and I absolutely love it. Look at reviews on Amazon listing too (all 5 stars). Got them for around 700ish. Well worth the price in my opinion.

    • did you get a custom case?

      • +5

Hahaha, now it’s much clearer why such a long argument the other day on another thread when you claimed to be an expert audio engineer. This comment makes it clear it’s just not worth engaging with you.

You really just looking for drama lol.

        • +2

Username checks out, you have a point.

        • I never once said I was an "audio engineer" nor an "expert" one, where ever did you get that assumption from?

Apparently they aren't an expert audio engineer…

      • +4

        Bullshit.

      • +2

        Get your ears checked

  • $580 at Mydeal however likely to sell out

Review by a fellow Aussie and its as close as you can get to be actually "hearing" these. Neither the Sony or the Bose have anywhere near the fidelity, noise cancellation or the build quality of these. I have used XM3 and Bose QC35 and 700 in the past.

    https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ReuDIYYk3fk

      • +6

I dont need to be a " trained ear" to know instrument separation is better, or that the sound is so much fuller or that the noise cancellation is so good that i cant even hear myself, or that the build quality makes other headphones look like they are a children's toy or the quality of life improvements when you are in the ecosystem. But go ahead and rant.

        • -4

          What?

          • +5

@[Deactivated]: If you're so against the headset, why do you keep posting here?

They're not for everyone, and people spend money on lots of stuff that others don't find value in (e.g., LV/Gucchi bags, RM shoes, >$2k phones and laptops etc.)

            • -7

@th123: Who said I am against them? I just find it funny that people praise them when there are much better audio representations of portable headphones around.

              • +3

                @[Deactivated]:

You only love them because the money you spent on them, my $5 earbuds are just as good.

and every other comment you made above

                • -8

@th123: That doesn't make me against them, show me anything negative I have said, my comment is subject just as is your bias.
                  Please elaborate?

            • +4

@th123: I love a good anti-Apple troll as much as the next OzBargainer, but this guy is being bitter. It's sad. I'm sad for him.

    • +3

1 Johnny Drama is a troll, don’t engage.

2 I’d say you are exaggerating a week before. I have plenty of headphones with dac and an amp and I have a respectable studio monitor set up too. So I have a relatively good references and I’d like to think I have a keen ear for listening, tho not claiming to be in production or an expert in music sector by any means. But I totally agree. A bit coloured compared to my studio monitor set-up(in a good way), but definitely agree. Other 2 you mentioned don’t even come close!
I know they also technically loose information but I swear I actually prefer the sound of these to many of my Open back headphones. I’d say they are act least equal (and differently good) compared to my others that are near and dear to my heart. Like 58X, 6XX, X2HR (with EQ) and Hifiman X4s

    • +2

I never really noticed it but XM3 actually sounds terrible with music, it's fine to watch movies on a flight but using it at an office everyday isn't amazing.

  • -4

The headphones for those still living with their parents

    • -5

Living off their parents, anyone paying even at this discounted amount is absurd.
Apple showed how they have their business model by taking on the BEATs brand.
It was proven it cost $18 to make a pair of $200 BEATs which would be a similar process for these ApplePuds.

      • +14

God, you're like a pest in these comments. What compelled you to reply to every single comment in this thread.

        • +1

Spot on. I was looking for the right word. “Pest” is totally it.

  • +3

I never get those who come to Apple posts with the sole intention to bad mouth the product, the company and those who buy it. They remind me of those obnoxious Atheists who are more "in your face" than any Religious person actually is.

    • -3

No one is berating ApplePuds at all, show me one comment.
Hearing is subjective, people can have what ever opinion they like on it, that's what makes it subjective.

      • +3

Honestly, sounds like you're just jealous of the Chad Apple Masterrace. My thoughts go out to you for using a pair of Soundpeats and an Oppo phone.

        • -1

I own neither? but good assumption I guess.
My gear is just fine but I find it amusing that a tech reporting agency puts a pair of BLEATs for sheep in front of PudMax for neutrality.

          https://www.rtings.com/headphones/tools/compare/beats-solo-p…

However, the Beats have a more neutral sound profile and their fit is more stable.

    • +3

They night be in your face but at least they wont chop it off if you don't agree with their beliefs. Such a stupid comment.

      • +1

Agreed an very unbalanced post, makes me wonder how they could compare the 2 unrelated juxtapositions.

      • -1

That doesn't even make sense. Jog on kid.

        • +2

In what way does it not make sense? There is not an atheist out there more in your face than religious extremists are and the fact that you compare the two is ridiculous. You obviously don't come from a religious background as strict as I do so you are probably just ignorant on the topic.

          • -3

            @s1Lence:

There is not an atheist out there more in your face than religious extremists

This is simply untrue. Laughably so.

You obviously don't come from a religious background as strict as I do so you are probably just ignorant on the topic.

Dismissive, ignorant and hypocritical. Blimey - we've hit the trifecta!

    • +4

There's no Apple zealot more zealous than an anti-Apple zealot.

      • +1

You could say the same about Tesla. People are so binary and tribal since 2020

        • +1

Completely agree. It's especially sad with Tesla. Half of the internet seems to be triggered by the idea of an exceptionally smart and exceptionally hard working person being financially successful. "How dare he," they say. "His parents weren't poor," as though it's normal for children of affluent parents to become billionaires. "He's a horrible freak with an invalid sense of humour," because overt prejudice against people with autism is still okay with the woke crowd.

          • @Simon Wright: Yea. Far from perfect, I’m a fan of Tesla and Apple. Bt would I troll Galaxy, Pixel, Rivian, Ford or Blue origin groups? No 😂

I’m also free to admire Virgin Galactic, Xpeng, VW, Amazon & Google 🤐

  • +8

I’m not some massive apple lover or apple hater but I don’t really see how you can buy these headphones and be an ozbargainer. There are objectively superior headphones from sennheizer and other specialty audio brands for less.

    • You can get better for less, I can tell you most who support this thing they're getting the best quality sound, unfortunately they're not especially for that price.

    • +2

      There are objectively superior headphones

Sorry, has anyone in this thread actually heard these headphones let alone done the difficult, technically laborous work to be able to make an "objective assessment"?

It just seems to be a bunch of Android fanbois having kneejerk reactions to Apple and high prices even though Android prices are now higher than Apple.

      • +1

Well it's true as rtings themselves objectively showed that the BLEATs are more neutral than the AirPuds, they used science, ie mic measurements.

        • "Neutral" - do you even know what you're talking about? Some Audio Engineer you are.

          • +2

@pharcyde: So I never have ever stated I was an "audio engineer"? where did you get that assumption from? yes and I am very aware what "neutral" means, do you?

        • The airpods max are easily the best tuned headphone in the product category, I don't know what you're smoking. Rtings aren't the reference for good measurements. The Max's have a too low treble, but outside of that they are fantastically tuned. The same can't be said for any of the competition in the noise cancelling range.

  • +7

Came for the comments stayed for the drama ;)

    • +1

A little bit of drama is always entertaining :)

  • +5

$5 lattee from Starbucks every day
$100 a month of amazon, spotify, disney, netflix, youtube and other subscriptions
New iPhone every few years for $1000, or an overpriced plan that comes with an overpriced phone and data plan for $150 a month
$800 for apple headphones or $300 for their earphones (by calling them earphones instead of airpods i am committing a violation and will be sentenced in the court of public opinion)
$1500 for a new gpu that isn't needed
    "Im an ozbargainer"

    • +14

I mean, isn't the whole point of OzBargain to find things you want for cheaper prices? At least in my eyes it is. I don't think just by using the website, you're morally bound to live on the bare basics that life has to offer - like $30 earbuds, a 5 year old GPU, no streaming services etc.

Life is short. Enjoy the things you want. Let OzBargain help you find them for the cheapest possible.

      • There are $20-40 chifi earbuds that sound better than the airpods (look it up if you dont believe me, i have bought some before)
It isnt about bare basics as much as being attached to a company and wanting to buy the popular name brand stuff even if they cost more and perform worse so i dont buy that argument

        • +4

Sound is subjective which completely disregards your first argument. I've used cheap earbuds and think they're trash. I very much like my Airpod Pro's.

Some people like different things and value them accordingly. Why try to gatekeep what some people want to buy? Stupid hill to die on.

          • @pharcyde: Lmao this comment seals the deal you are clearly not arguing in good faith and have no clue about the subject matter, thanks for this i wont have to waste time with your drivel anymore
