Any chance of a much lower % but uncapped?

    • +4

      Unfortunately not.
It's already locked, loaded & advertised.

  • +1

Nice, time to spend that $15 eBay GC from the giveaway. This should go well with the $5 eBay challenge too.

    • +1

$5 eBay challenge is expired, I didn't use it last night after activating the challenge either but I didn't realize how quickly you had to use it

  • +1

APBF25 does not qualify for cashback?

    • +1

      As mentioned under GYB's notes:

      • The use of any other Promo Code not listed on the eBay Merchant Page will cause your Cashback to be invalidated, as usual.

So this code will invalidate any Cashback :)

Hi Store Rep gotyourback. I'm confused by the following wording on the standard Terms & Conditions:

"Ensure that you Do NOT add products to the eBay wishlist and purchase/bid over 24 hours later, cashback may not be awarded".

Ebay has a "Watch List", right? I don't see any "wishlist"??

If I understand the wording correctly, it means that after clicking through Shopback, I need to purchase the item within 24 hours (or within the Promo period, which, for today is 7-11pm), am I right?

If I have something that was added to my Watch List long ago, what happens if I click on Shopback today —> go to eBay —> click on my Watch List -> Select my item and then purchase? Will I get my purchase tracked and get the Shopback rebate (16% for today, 7-11pm)?

If not, I don't understand why… I should be able to purchase an item that I've previously had in my Watch List (as a bookmark, to get to the page quickly) and then still get the Shopback rebate, right? I'm a bit confused. Thanks.

        • I would like to know this too.

        • +1

          Hi @dlee & @ronaldo0917,
I believe the T&C's listed on our site are slightly outdated, so I've asked our team to compile an updated list and update as soon as possible.

With this Flash Sale, only orders placed between 7PM & 11PM AEDT will be eligible for the upsized rates.
I'm not 100% sure what the 24 hour rule is referring to, so I will ask the team to clarify when updating the T&C's.

As for purchasing items from your eBay Watchlist, this shouldn't be an issue.
It's only an issue for regular purchases where you add to your Watchlist and purchase more than a day later as our cookies will not track for that long.
So if you have something in your Watchlist now and click through at 7PM AEDT tonight to purchase it, you will still get Cashback :)

          • @gotyourback: Thanks for your reply. Yes, I believe the "24 hours" thing refers to people who wait too long before actually purchasing an item and they "watch" it first. Doing a fresh click on a previously "watched" item and then straightaway purchasing it should be tracked fine. Maybe tell the Web team to improve the wording used so that it's clearer.

Another thing I'm not clear about: when Shopback says that we can't use "Promo codes or voucher codes not approved by ShopBack", does that mean that when a store (e.g. Mydeal.com.au) offers its OWN code (e.g. "BLACKFRIDAY" for a $10 discount at the checkout), we cannot get this discount AND a Shopback rebate? Seems a bit unfair—-the shop itself has offered this promo code, and Shopback will not give its rebate when we use the shop's own promo code? Can you confirm this? Thanks.

            • @dlee: Hi @dlee, I'm sorry I missed this - I've been swamped today.
We will be updating the wording as soon as possible :)

With regards to the promo codes, we have no control over this.
eBay sets out the terms we must follow, including which promo codes are approved for payment.
So as much as we would like to say "use any code you want", we cannot.
I hope this explains things :)

              • @gotyourback: Thanks. Actually, I wasn't talking about ebay at all…I changed topics… Sorry!

I was talking about a shop's own promo codes in general. I gave the example of Mydeal offering its own promo code (e.g. "BLACKFRIDAY" for a $10 discount at the checkout if you spend over $100). If I enter this code to get the discount, does that mean that there's no point clicking through Shopback at all? That is, will Shopback disregard the purchase because I used the shop's promo code? If that's the case, in future, if a business offers a discount code, I won't bother to get Shopback to track it at all, since it's against the rules…

      • Unfortunately it got added after I bought something last night given the code was not listed. I would have waited till today :/

    • Read "GYB's Notes" in the OP for clarification.

You da man (or woman), GYB!

    • +1

      <3

  • +2

How much would you need to spend to get to the cap?

    • +9

With no promo code: $137.5 (inclusive of GST)
With the listed promo code: $220 (inclusive of GST)

      • +1

Thanks OP. I can never calculate this right myself. Still stuck at Australian high school maths.

      • +1

Isn’t it more like $275 with promo code? The code itself gives 20% off …ie $220….. then it’s 10% SB cash back .

        • +3

Yep before discount it would be $275 :)
I should've specified that my calculations were after the discount was applied, but I can't edit the comment now :/

  • +4

No love for Amazon? Feeling a bit baited we got better cashback BEFORE actual Black Friday..

    • +1

With no promo code: $137.5 (inclusive of GST)
With the listed promo code: $220 (inclusive of GST)

      • I think you replied to the wrong comment, but while you're here will there be an upsized Amazon cashback to round off Cyber Monday? :)

      • I would like to know the possibility of an Amazon flash sale as well.

    • +1

You got baited? Then marketing team should get a raise lol

  • +1

    Great Deal GotYourBack!

I would assume this will be also eligible for whoever managed to enroll it?

    • +4

      Absolutely :)

  • will the cashback be on the amount before or after the PLBF20 code is applied?

    • +2

      After the discount is applied.

  • +1

question is what to buy. still have couple of orders havn't been tracked yet

    • Same her, none of my eBay orders with shopback have been tracked, I'm a little worried now

      • +2

eBay can take up to 7 days to track.
I know it's a bit of a wait, but it is normal.

If you don't have the order track within 7 days then please submit a Missing Cashback Claim for our team to investigate with eBay.

        Thanks!

        • +1

Thanks! Good to know it can be up to 7 days.

  • Nice deal, unfortunately, I just ordered something 2 hours ago. Should have waited for the big bang, haha..

    • Surely you cancel and re-order later today?

  • What can PLBF20 code be applied to?

  • +3
    • I had to rush to check… yes :D

  • Thanks GYB! Valid on click & collect orders?

    • Yep absolutely :)

  • +1

Can you try to get the PLSDELL promo deal too please?!

    • +2

It's highly unlikely, but we can try.
It was hard getting this code alone to be approved lol

      • Maybe contact Dell? Since this code is exclusive to them anyway. Thanks for your reply.

        • From my understanding, Dell has 0 say in the code being approved for Cashback as it's at eBay's discretion.

          • @gotyourback: Any luck, sir?

            • +1

@kc7: No luck with the Dell codes, only the 3 mentioned :)

  • So using PLBF20 and 10% cashback will give 30% off, plus $5 bonus. Great deal.

    • but i cant find anything i need which accepts plbf20 code.
      any suggestions ?

      • Am in the same boat. All good to get a cashback and PLBF20, but which retailers are taking this so where are the bargains?

I.e. was looking for a Go Pro Hero 8 and Ted's via eBay had it for $449, but the PLBF20 code does not apply.

Anyone seen the T&C's for the code? Apols and am not trying to be lazy but didn't see it- will again look. Ta

      • +1

Hahaha… just to get cash back and 20%code, you want to buy something !!!

        True Ozbargain fan.
I think SB & EBay both will make us bankrupt…

      • I just bought Labtop before the code approved. That was good deal as well.

I will send u link you might change ur mind.

        https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/334155453447?_trkparms=amclksrc%…

    • +1

There's an update to the codes above, please be sure to take a look 😊

  • Sorry colour me confused.

There is a code "PLBF20" but I'm not sure if this is something I activate on Shopback prior to clicking though or is this an ebay code that goes in the ebay checkout page (that therefore anyone could use to get 10% off during checkout right - you would not need to click through from Shopback).

Why would I use the code if that reduces the shopback to 10%…and if its an ebay code then its 10% instantly on the payment right and 0% in my Shopback .. so no waiting for the refund? Is that why it might be preferable to using 'no code' and clicking through from Shopback for 16%.

Then again ebay codes are pretty much always restricted to certain seller or plus users right?

But they both cap at $20 right? so if you are buying over $200 then use the code in ebay for an instant max saving? or spend less and use the referral and save more it takes longer to get.

The 16% would then be good at items under $125 in value… and apply to any ebay item?

And if the code is an ebay code … then why not both (cue mexican music)? make two purchases one as a referral and the second without a referral and just use the code for a possible $40 savings?

    • +1

Some items are eligible for plbf20 you get 20% off and 10% cashback(27.27% off total). Of course you can choose not to use, to get 16% cashback(14.54% off because of GST). Now you know why you should use code.
For the rest just take 16% cashback.

      • Sorry I still don't get it.

ebay lets you enter two discount codes now? didn't think that was possible.

        • +4

          OK. WAIT. ..

PLBF20 - is an ebay code for a discount of 20%.

Click from Shopback and use the code (normally negating Shopback) will still give you an ADDITIONAL 10% for orders placed.

          or.

Don't use the code and Shopback will give a 16% cashback on the purchase.

          ““
my bad I thought the 'code' was a specific Shopback code somehow just for use in eBay as a 'special' thing they had set up between them … which is where I was getting confused.

          • @Elijha: I agree, it is THE most confusing cashback I've seen.

  • +4

    no aliexpress ?

  • Would PLBFSS be eligible for the cashback too??

    • Fingers crossed.

    • At this time, no.
We will see if eBay approves any other codes between now and the Flash Sale starting.

    • +1

      Update: yes it will 😎😎😎😎😎

    • who can use this code..?

  • Was gonna rage coz I just put an order in but got 25% with APBF25 so looks like I wouldn't even been eligible anyway

    • You might be a little mad with the update I just posted 🙃

  • Is the Xbox Elite Controller from Microsoft's eBay store eligible for the promo code? I'm not sure if the discount is storewide or not

Edit: Nvm, thought the code was a unique code SB negotiated to get 20% off storewide. Am looking to buy an Elite controller for under $200 though if OP can do something to make that happen

    • Sorry to let you down here, but I don't there there's anything I can do to get you that discount.

  • Off topic abut Adidas has an upsized cashback too.
Q: I order 2 pairs of shoes but have to return 1 pair, what happens to the cashback situation then?

    • It should update the Cashback value to the correct value.
However, not all brands do this so it might be best to split the order up into 2 transactions.
Just be sure to exit our app and re-enter through our links between each one for tracking purposes.

      Cheers!

      • +1

I have something similar. Bought 3 items from Big W when you had 12% cashback, but Big W refunded 1 item as they didn't have stock. Will the entire order be rejected for cashback?

        • I can't say for sure, technically it shouldn't.
If it does, please reach out to me via DMs :)

  • Thanks GYB! Definitely going for this one. Just wondering would Afterpay accepted during checkout?(not going to use the promo code from eBay)

    • No problem!
Paying with Afterpay, will be fine so long as the code is not added as you mentioned :)

      Cheers!

  • It state I need to be an eBay plus member to use "PLBF20"

    • +1

That's correct, any eBay code starting with PL is exclusively for their Plus Members.
As it's a paid service, it makes sense that eBay would like to offer them a higher rate/reward.

      Cheers!

      • +1

You should put that in the deal description to avoid people complaining and to save their time.

        • I've just received an update from eBay regarding codes.
More are added to the list!

      • +4

You can use our eBay Gift Cards to pay for your order, and still be eligible for the Upsized Cashback Rate.

Please explain . Are you saying using a gift cards not purchased from SB is not eligible ?

        • Any official eBay Gift Card will be eligible, but as a ShopBack rep I'm gonna promo our stock over others 😉

  • dam nice - but have to wait 17hrs!

  • Any good e scooter deal? Or good Samsung microsd deal?
