Bundle: Intel Core i5-10600KF CPU + Gigabyte B560 AORUS PRO AX Wi-Fi Motherboard $329 Delivered + Surcharge @ Shopping Express

690

I'll be honest, not entirely sure if this is a deal since I'm not too caught up with CPU prices these days. But I did a quick google and Stastice search and found the price of the 10600kf to be $299 on average. I also looked at Ozbargain's search history, and found that the 10600kf has been posted for $231 back in March. Even if the chip is supposed to be $200, that would mean the motherboard is $129, which still seems cheap. I did a quick google and Stastice search for the motherboard, and it seems the price of the motherboard is at least $179 elsewhere (Mwave, may also require shipping costs).

So… $329 for both seemed like a fair deal. I guess it's just a matter of whether one or both products have very negative reviews or something like that. I'll let the community give that feedback.

Ugh if only it were Z590.

This is definitely a good deal! Even though the 10600 can't be overclocked on a B series board the stock performance is comparable to an 11400F.

    • Ahhh, i don't know too much about overclocking, so this is good to know about not being able to overclock it using this motherboard. thanks for sharing.

1st m.2 slot on that mobo won't work with the 10600k

    • Ohhhh, I have no idea what this means as I'm not computer savvy, but I assume it's bad.

    • Was there a quick method you used to know that it wouldn't work/be compitable?

      • +1

The first m.2 slot is linked to the CPU and is PCIe 4.0, which the 10th gen intel cpu's don't support.

        • Ahhhh I'm learning!!

        • So in this case, is the slot useless… Or what do people normally do?

          • @High5: There are two other m.2 slots still available.

          • @High5: Yes, the slot is useless if you're using a 10th gen i5. The lowest model 11th gen i5 (i5-11400) is about the same speed in real-world applications, uses half the power and allows you to use all the M.2 slots. You can't overclock it though, you need a 11600K for that (in the 11th gen CPUs).

  • built in video card? or do I still have to buy a video card?

    • +7

The F at the end of I5-10600KF indicates that it doesn't have an integrated GPU, so you'll need a video card.

    • +1

F version doesn't have on board graphics I believe

    Stastistice are the bomb

If only the CPU is "K" ver, I need the igpu.

  • Solid price, and one of the best B560 chipset boards.

11400 + this board would have been a tiny bit sweeter for PCIE4 and the integrated graphics

    • I'll keep a look out for that combo! I'm undecided what to get for myself still.

    Showing as OOS ?

    • Yep with 4 days to go. Couldn't have had much stock.
