Inflated price, RRP at Apple is $149. Discount is a discount anyway…

      Was RRP+10% 🤦‍♂️

just a reminder and a word of caution for fellow Ozbargainers:

MobileCity is a company that does weird shit, including false advertising and deceiving customers. buy at your own risk, or price match elsewhere

Nagging this to give a heads up to potential buyers
Click above link from shabaka to read about this dodgy seller. No offense OP.

I did not listen to fellow Ozbargainers and I regretted it big time. Bad shopping experience. Will avoid this store like a plague.

I have bought 2 items from them. Samsung Galaxy phone and Samsung watch. Samsung Galaxy phone was an open item, which was sold as new. They had a seal/ sticker on the box though to show it was “new”. I carefully removed it and I noticed that it was a sticker pasted on top of the another cut seal that means the box was previously opened. The phone was faulty as soon as I turned it on. It kept restarting every few minutes. I had to go to their store to get it resolved. They kept the phone for a day to verify if it was actually a fault. Eventually the phone was replaced.

The Samsung watch too developed an issue and this time I took it to Samsung directly and it was fixed under warranty.

May be I got unlucky but the experience with this store was definitely not ideal.

once again, we desperately need a flag here on OzBargain to identify stores people shouldn't buy from, but to be only used for price matches elsewhere

why ban a store if we can price match elsewhere, just avoid buying from them

I can’t agree with you more.

they just moved to a new address

I hope their next move is to the nearest dumpster haha

  • yeah got one of these for free from telstra there ok but I wouldn't pay for one lol

So from previous posts, you have to check n identify if the device is brand new or not and report the seller if you are not happy. That is stupid. So if the buyer doesn’t alarm that gets carried away as brand new device. I’ll stay away from this seller for big purchases.

    • they sold me a faulty laptop, and on return claimed it's software and charged me $200 restocking fee.

also it took a PayPal dispute and 2 weeks of back and forth to get even the rest of money back

dodgy AF and they deserve to be boycotted for all their shady practices

So does a Google nest mini.

Not a real deal inflated price then discounted then with all the other bad experiences we should really just ban this retailer forever off here.

Please consider reporting sellers like this to ACCC like I've just done. https://www.accc.gov.au/contact-us/contact-the-accc/report-a...

We can't ignore sales like this where the original price is 10% more than RRP then they claim to give you a 15% off coupon. We wouldn't accept behaviour like this anywhere else.

  • They have other store names too on ebay like dji ebay official
