Not too sure if this is a good deal, looks decent I reckon.

Not too sure if this is a good deal

Why did you post it then?

    • +7

Cause I’ve done partial research, thought someone may find it useful

    • Ha ha ha…. oz bargain needs to change decent bargain lol.

  • +3

These look to be the exact same model, GS66 Stealth 11UG-243AU. 'Max-Q' isn't a thing NVidia promote anymore, so PLE is just letting people know it's a low-wattage GPU where as Scorptec isn't.

It's the same laptop on both stores though, both with the same mobile GPU.

    • Thanks for clarifying, I was getting confused!

      • +3

It does feel like NVidia has purposely left this off the mobile gpu naming this time round to confuse people, so don't worry, you're definitely not alone there.

  • Would this deal be more worth it or the Razer Blade 14 for $2,700? Im having a hard time deciding which one is better.

    • 14 is small screened

    • +1

If you value portability, then get the blade 14. Personally i wouldn't even be comparing the two.

Im not sure what niche this MSI laptop is filling. I would much rather spend less with a higher performing legion 5 pro. Legion 5 pro is slightly heavier and larger but also has a slightly larger screen

      • Legion 5 pro is slightly heavier

It’s actually a big chonker with a huge power brick. On paper it’s only slightly heavier, in reality there’s a big difference.

    • I was also considering Razer but after further research it seems they have a bad quality control issue, almost everyone told me to stay away from Razer whatever I do, its a shame though cause I really like their designs.

  • 12th gen laptops are 2-3 weeks away and would be same price

  • +1

Quite a performance gap between laptop and desktop 3070, check Jarrod's YouTube video you will understand why.
3060 is probably a better choice if you go after a gaming laptop.
