Seems like a good price for a fast TLC + DRAM NVMe SSD. It's supposedly on the same level as the Samsung 970 EVO Plus and WD Black SN750.

  It is a great deal for a NVMe SSD with DRAM and one of better controllers. However, Samsung Evo Plus which is arguably a better drive is only about $20 more for the same capacity and It comes with a digital game code of Far Cry 6.

      How deep is your pocket? Which enclosure? Thunderbolt 3, or USB 3.2 gen 2?

      Thoughts, if you looked past the overly hyped sequential read/write, then it is fine. However, if you care so much about sequential read/write or Blackmagic disk speed test on Mac, then:

      • USB 3.2 gen 2 enclosure, the enclosure is holding it back.
      • Thunderbolt 3 enclosure, you will be much happier with the result, but make sure you keep that SSD cool.

      Ya, you need a good TB3/USB4 enclosure.

      I tried video edit with files in USB3-NVMe (970evo) and USB3-SATA (860evo), not as fast as internal drive but USB3-NVMe isn't too bad, with SATA have to wait further more. No bad if not making a living.

  Are both m.2 slots usually behind the GPU? I looked on my mobo and couldn't see the slots

        Huh? Did you find where the slots are? If there are 2 slots, you need to know which one is connected directly to the CPU which one is connected to the chipset. You put the faster one to the slot that's connected directly to the CPU.

          @netsurfer: I couldn't see the ssd that's currently installed. I think it's behind the gpu.
