The White Belt Bible iOS App by BJJ Black Belt Roy Dean (FREE Normally $24.99)Affiliate

Roy Dean is a world famous Brazilian Jiu Jitsu teacher. This app 'The White Belt Bible' is from Roy's academy and is usually $25 however for the next 48 hours, it's free!

I'm currently downloading it myself, but based on the size of the app (1.83gb) it appears to be full of Roy Dean videos. I don't get BJJ apps normally, but Roy Dean is a real master so I'll make an exception!!

lol, is this the biggest iphone app in the store ?

    •

Alot of games would push the 2GB size I'd imagine, some android games do, pretty sure.

Hmm, wasn't expecting to get something worth $25 for free.
It completely "threw me off-guard" :P

My hat is off to you, sir, for this brilliant word play.
I've subsequently been left grappling for a similarly funny counter, but in the end I believe I have choked.

      Maybe it'll play within iTunes?

Yes, you can watch the mp4 files on your pc.
      Download the app on iTunes.
Find the .ipa file by right clicking on the app in iTunes and select 'show in explorer/finder'.
Open the .ipa archive with a program like 7zip.
Go in to the folder payload. All the videos are there and can be extracted for watching

      •

I can confirm this works! :)

      •

actually, you don't even need 7zip, just right click and open with vlc. -)

    +1 from a fellow BJJer

    •

Is your status as a "BJJer" really something you want to advertise?

      •

I don't think anyone's going to track him down and try mug him just because he does BJJ?

Or if you were trying to do a word play on BJJ, that's just silly. Lots of people love the sport! :)

        •

Yes I was trying to be funny - clearly I failed! I seem to find myself reinforcing the Wizard's First Rule, Zeddicus! :P

    +1 BJJ FTW!

You should add the word iCrap or iPhone or something in brackets as the very first word in the title so I know to skip it.

This also includes some Judo and Aikido lessons.

    •

where did u see that? the link on the app page just redirects me to its FAQ.
I dont see any judo or aikido.

"The white belt is more than just a rank, it’s a mindset. In Roy Dean’s latest app, he explores techniques from the three of the most successful schools of jiu jitsu in the modern era: Kodokan Judo, Aikikai Aikido, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Theory and technique are balanced with montages of live application, rank demonstrations, and lessons from masters of the gentle art"

been eyeing this app for ages…but damn i lost my iphone…fml…

  •

How does this guy's BJJ rate compared to Gracie method?

    •

I dont know, never see them spar..

Roy Dean is a great instructor. Breaks everything down. Roy Deans Blue Belt Requirements is a good BJJ DVD.
