  • Why would someone buy this over EK AIO 360 which is superior ?

    • cause some people might already be running NZXT gear and using CAM? Sure it's not for everyone, so don't buy it. Just link your own deal for the EK ;p

  • how did it go from a humble Intel CPU cooler to $250+ cooler?

Yeah never got the appeal of aios. I mean unless you got it for RGB then yeah i guess i like rgb vomit as well but for a pure cost/efficiency perspective you would spent quite a bit more than an air cooler to get comparable performance, with the added risk of leaking. Something like a drp or a nh d15 would beat an 120mm (why is it even a thing?) n 240mm all day and even beat some 360mm aios. It's only quieter as well.

Looks cleaner I guess compared to a giant heatsink with fans (ironically the water cable can make it look ugly because it's so short and stiff), the only reason I got my AIO was for the fancy LCD screen so I can put stupid gifs and pictures on it LOL

        • Which one is this?

          • @Mozzlah: I know the rog ruijin ii does that but its $500

          • @Mozzlah: I have the Gigabyte Aorus Waterforce X 360, not too pleased with it's build quality tbh, one of the plastic clips that hold the mesh on the watertubes already snapped from just me moving the tubes around a little bit. NZXT and Corsair have their own AIO with customizable LCD screens, but they are fairly expensive, like 300-400 range.

NH D15 beating a 360mm aio sure lol

        • Maybe my info is outdated but just years back people were all talking about how nh d15 is the king of coolers and aios are just fancy gadgets that may fail and fry all your components. Isn’t the d15 still the king of -at least air- coolers? Maybe im outdated but I didn’t hear any aio with a reputation like the d15. Feel free to correct me tho

          • @Brrrrt: It's all about scaling bud, 360 will be stable, temp wise, at very high clocks. perhaps like for like at idle an air cooler will match once you get the heat pumping through a hot case the air will start to fall away as its efficiency cant keep up with a 360 water cooler.

You need to make sure your case has enough space for the radiator, not all cases will fit 280 or 360mm. I would not buy anything smaller than 240mm because the cooling performance on 120/140mm radiators is worse than air coolers.

I have the EK AIO Basic 240 and it's excellent, there's also a 360mm version.

      • thank you!
