Just out of curiosity, why is anyone buying a 55w batten?

You can get a batten for half the amount of wattage and same lumens.

      • Wattage: 55W
      • Lumens: 6600 Lm

Please show me your 28W 6600 lumen batten.

At least offer to buy him a drink first

it seems you are pretty familar with these led battens, can you try to recommend me a 6600lumen led lumen around the 27.5w power consumption please? which means the efficacy is 6600lumens/27.5w = 240(lumens/watt)

would love to see who can indeed achieve 240lumens/watt

  • Does this BN208C definitely have ZigBee built-in?

      • I found that earlier but it's not clear. It says:

GreenPerform Batten BN208C Dali is a high quality LED batten that delivers significant energy savings of up to 50% comparing to conventional T8 battens. BN208X incorporates the reliable structure, long lifetime LED lighting, and the global standard ZigBee control system,

Does that mean the BN208C is DALI and the BN208X is ZigBee? According to the listing photos, this is the BN208C.

        • Sorry about pointing it at the wrong model.

Here's one for the correct model, which does also mention Zigbee…

Not quite sure -how- you use Zigbee though - would it show up in my Hue app? (via my Hue zigbee hub?)

          • @SirDale:

Here's one for the correct model, which does also mention Zigbee…

The description is the same though, it mentions both the BN208C and BN208X.

Not quite sure -how- you use Zigbee though - would it show up in my Hue app? (via my Hue zigbee hub?)

I would assume so… you'd probably have to get the light into pairing mode by turning it on and off 5 times quickly, or something like that.

          • @Steptoe: That listing, which I believe is also from the same seller, doesn't mention ZigBee at all which adds to the confusion more. :)

            • @eug: Assume the seller bought via Grays and is reselling. Grays listing doesn't mention DALI so I reckon it's not.

Haven't found a 2017 vintage pdf yet to be certain.

  • Thanks OP. Was just about to go to bunnings to buy two battens and saw this. Perfect timing!

  • Anything with "daylight harvesting and occupancy sensor" coming up?

  • Still waiting for my Paypal refund from a previous OzBargain deal. You have been cautioned.

    • Which deal? What happened?

  • Purchased this mid-November.Paypal case opened 23/11/21 and closed 27/11/21…
$29 refund was supposed to take "3 to 5 business days"….yeah right.

    • I mean, what was the reason you requested for a refund?

Hi. This item was returned to sender. Are you able to issue a refund?

      Reply

  • Is it for garages?

    • It's for dark places.

  • Again….do NOT deal with this seller.Paypal initially advised of a full refund as the item was never received, then reversed the decision when the seller provided a fresh tracking number.I still have not received the goods and have lost my money into the bargain as Paypal has closed the case. The reason people use Paypal is that it offers consumer protection…Here is the item details.

  • OP, can you confirm this light has ZigBee support?
I sent a message on eBay on Saturday asking that but have not received a reply.

    • The eBay seller replied saying yes, it supports Zigbee.

However I just found this doc which makes it pretty clear that it's the BN208X that has Zigbee, and not this BN208C.

Hopefully no one bought it expecting Zigbee!

  • FWIW I bought this and this from the same seller and received them both.
