I reckon best to contact AP support.

I used PC and After selecting Afterpay and checking the correct discount amounts then selecting Apple pay and confirm I received instant confirmation that payment was paid via my DJ store card with no discount. This is a breach of use and I will be taking this up with the ACCC.
I contacted Afterpay who told me it is a merchant issue.

        • I'd say it's an apple pay glitch. Did you try checking out with a CC instead?
I mean when you think about it, you're trying to do
DJ > afterpay > Apple pay > CC.
          That seems convoluted.

@ShouldIBuyIt: I do t want to put my Cc details in Afterpay and why would Afterpay give the option to use Apple Pay it doesnt work

            • +2

@DealSa: When you pay, you need to pay on the AP account page. If you pay on the DJ page, it won’t work.

This is how AP works. If you don’t add a bank card or cc into AP, you have not fully completed your AP account setup and AP won’t work for you.

@DealSa: After Pay uses Apple Pay in the sense that you can add a virtual After Pay card to Apple Pay Wallet. You then use that card to pay for items.

After Pay want a CC/bank details from you so you can pay them back.

            • @DealSa: i was definitely on the AP page as it gave me the breakdown of my payments and i had the CONFIRM button

              • @DealSa: This is odd because the only payment method I can enter is a credit card. No option for apple pay or android pay. Also this

                • @ShouldIBuyIt: When setting up your AP account, you need to enter a credit or debit card first to complete the AP account setup. Once your AP account is setup, you would then have 2 options to pay back AP either using your loaded bank card or Apple/Google Pay.

              • @DealSa: You need to first load a bank card into your AP account to complete your AP account setup.

I emailed DJ's to ask about price matching an item and while they agreed to the price they told me I have to pay the full amount first and then be refunded the difference.
Is this normal for DJ's? I ain't gonna pay more and then have to chase them up for the refund when I can buy the item from the store that already has the cheaper price.

    • from my experience they dont always price match even though they have a policy which says they do.

      • DJs have always pricematched for me. Myer on the other hand, never successful.

    • Is this normal for DJ's?

For online purchases, yes. Don't want to do this? Price match in store.

Hey did anyone make a purchase over this weekend? I tried using afterpay in store yesterday but the payment could not go through. Then when I tried click and collect this morning, the discount is not applied at afterpay checkout page. Any similar experience?

    • yep i had a lot of trouble, my first click and collect online attempt auto paid from my dj's store card with my selection of AFTERPAY. then i returned the item when i collected it and tried again via the AFTERPAY APP this time it charged the full amount to my CC. I Then refunded it again and paid with via AFTERPAY in my apple wallet and it worked. There was an staff member who in DJ's who is there go to when there is AFTERPAY issues and she hadn't seen anything like this issue before.

I called the customer service this morning and obviously their system stuffed it up. There's no order under my account but they could see that the promotion offer was redeemed on Saturday already. And I have no other option but to wait for another team to fix this problem =\

    • Yep same exact thing happened with parents today. Won’t be trying to pay instore with Afterpay again

  • Just purchased polo over $50 but did not received any credit.
Also, wasted all day in shop this morning, trying to pay with Afterpay (Apple Pay) which keep getting declined at Myer, Kmart etc.
Such a poor platform. Really hope I get my $20 back otherwise I'll return it.
