    Yup, it's only 3.5% off. You can get 4% off (Woolworths only) from Student Edge and insurance providers anytime. I guess this is ok if you don't have access to those.

      I've bought gift cards before and paid $6.95 for the card fee. If there's no card fee then this is a good deal. I got this email too.

        It sounds like you were purchasing prepaid EFTPOS gift cards. They usually come with a purchase fee, as:

        • It costs money to operate a gift card program, and the money earned from EFTPOS transactions and the interest earned from people adding money to a gift card’s balance would not be enough to cover the day-to-day costs of such a program, and

        • It acts as a disincentive for people wanting to use them as a mechanism to launder money…

        The gift cards mentioned in this deal have no purchase fee at all, but you can find better deals on Woolworths Group gift cards at a number of discounted gift card portals (assuming you have access to them).

  I was targeted with a slightly different deal:

  Purchase a Woolworths Supermarket, BIG W, BWS or Dan Murphy’s gift card, and get:

  • Spend $120, get 800 points
  • Spend $150, get 1000 points
  • Spend $220, get 1500 points

  Considering I have at least six different ways to get my hands on those gift cards at a higher upfront discount, plus the fact that Everyday Rewards and Woolworths Group gift cards could not agree back in June as to who I needed to follow up for my missing 1000 points, I think I’ll skip this deal…
