Hamza23's Sennheiser HD250 post had me go look for HD25 deals (already own HD25ii for 10 years now) and found this on Amazon.

Do note that these don't come with the leather earpads, but velour. Who cares, these are the absolute best when it comes to listening, monitoring or DJing.
There's a reason why the internals haven't really changed since they came out back in 1988, they're just that good, and yeah, they're that old.

$250+ at other shops in Aus.

    What a deal!!!
If I didn't already own 3 pairs of these I would be on it.

    • I have 3 pairs as well lol.

I've had mine since 1999. Incredible professional headphones and an absolute bargain at this price.

These are great headphones +1 for this deal!

Great price but my HD25's don't ever see much use these days with no DJing. I don't rate them for comfort or general listening personally

    • Same here. Great when mixing but barely use them for any casual listening.

    Agree great headphones.

You can buy replacement pads if you don't like the feel of velour.

  • AKG K371 remains the recommendation unless you want an on-ear, flatter sub-bass or a U-shaped sound signature.

AKGs house sound has the vocals a touch thinner in the K371 compared to the usual Sennheiser fare, but the slight warmth in the K371 leaves the overall timbre in really good shape. Such a great closed back for such a great price.

    • I'm inclined to believe you. You know your stuff.

  • Still got my pair from ages ago. They look a bit trashed but sound darn fine to me.

Recommend the hd25ii and if these are similar or same quality, then I would be happy to endorse this product too. Of course I don't need new ones.

    I have heaps of headphones…

  • I have the no longer availalable amperiors which are the same thing but with aluminiun cups, apparently they sound the same but thats not why I am commenting
These are one of very few sets of decent cans with the cable on the right side
I use mine for monitoring while recording guitar
As a right handed guitarist, I found it incredibly frustrating to have the cable dangling around on the left side over around and behind the fretboard
