    No they aren't. They're essentially just a bougie looking fan. They generally perform worse than a cheap fan from Kmart & they are just as noisy.

    It's more of an aesthetic/talk piece rather than a fan that's worth the price tag for it's performance alone.

    Well they work just like a fan but they're less shitty to clean.

    I have 2 smaller pure hot/colds but wanted a fan and bought this the other day (arrives Friday) so I can have a larger fan one for summer.

    Its worth it if:
    1. You dont want spinning blades easily accessible. So its good with kids.
    2. You want quieter fan and are ok with using it at lower speed. At lower speed they are quiet. At higher speeds they are not quiet.
    3. Want a fan that is easier to clean.

    But there are cheaper fans that move more air if none of the above matters.

    They are not noisy at lower speeds. They are noisy at higher speeds.
