Need a Christmas Gift Idea under $120!

Hi all, need to find quick Christmas gift and attempting to avoid a gift voucher!

It's for a late 30s guy, enjoys all the normal stuff, especially gadgets and gaming - any good ideas for something a bit out of the box or something that others can now say "I'm so glad I have this" etc…?

Thanks!

Check out our Christmas Gift Guide

Remote Control Poo is a favourite for all.

    • That's Neil, I had already looked through that and although the poo was tempting, I might until valentines day for that 'gift'

        the poo was tempting

        in what way?

    Google Nest Hub 2nd Gen

    • He's already got quite a few of the nest minis - not sure I can see much benefit in the hub unless you nee it for calendar etc which I don't think he uses

      • It comes with a screen; if he likes to cook, he can put it in the kitchen to follow recipes

      • You can stream video to it.

      • It has sleep sensing too and works as a digital photo frame

Anything more specific than gadgets and gaming?

    Specific games? Consoles/PC/Board?

Are they a reader? Is there anything they complain about?

    Do they drink?

your limited to about 5 billion items… good luck.

    anything but those items…

$120? can I be your friend?

Could get a nice power bank with high capacity and PD.

Maybe a new keyboard/mouse combo? Some PC/gaming peripherals of some kind?

  • Thanks for the ideas so far.
The mini vacuum looks cool, not sure exactly what the use case is though..
I know he already has a couple of powerbanks and is good for headphones.
I guess he is working from home now so something that helps with that/makes it more fun or enjoyable would be cool.
Re gaming, he is Switch and Xbox guy. Not too sure what games he has/hasn't got but not sure if there is some peripheral or something maybe?
I had though about some cool coffee table book or similar about texh/gaming but haven't found anything yet.
He also like a lot of retro stuff if that helps..
Yes, he drinks but not a lot

    • Re vacuum - vac cushions, sofas. Keyboards, or the area around it, especially if the person makes a habit of eating over it and drops crumbs everywhere

Or if he likes gadgets enough - just that it's mini and it works will be fun enough

    • Could get an 8bitdo controller

    • One of these devices where you can display different pixel art.

    Would he like Lego?
Gaming themed like the Mario stuff - https://www.lego.com/en-au/product/mario-s-house-yoshi-expan…

Or some other set. Drop into a Lego store to browse

  • If he likes to read maybe a Kindle. My sister bought one for me & before I wouldn’t have spent what I considered a lot of money for an e-reader, but really changed my tune after a month of use.

Very lightweight, portable, great battery life, can have so many books on one device, nice to read from (a lot better than reading from an ordinary screen). It’s the kind of present in my case I didn’t think I wanted but one of favourite presents ever now.

    Good luck finding something.
