Depends, if your cables are easily accessible and you can switch quickly then I'd just save the money. But if your cables are in an inconvenient location and becomes a hassle everytime, then I'd buy it.

It's not uncommon to zap HDMI ports by plugging/unplugging them with equipment powered on.
Just buy it. Super convenient. Great for wfh computers as well.
Why not have two cables and change inputs? Or does your monitor/TV only have one HDMI input?
That would be the intelligent thing to do, but I haven't bothered to fish out another HDMI cable from my woolies shopping bag full of cables.
A second cable is surely better than buying a switch.
I purchased a different one from AliExpress and it worked for a few days and then it starts to play up. I don't trust these passive HDMI switchers. That was with XB1 and PS4 Pro combination.
PS5 and Series X, I would be looking at better switcher.
I have been using this since the last deal between my xbox and bluray, admittedly I don't use he bluray that much but it's been flawless since setting up. During set up it didn't like one of the cables but I switched it out for a different one and it's been perfect
4K/60Hz with HDR?
Was going to get it, but after reading the reviews I will stay away, too many fault issues and claims that it doesn't pass thru 4K/60Hz as advertised.
Amazon emailed me recently asking me why I have had so many returns as a polite warning.
May I ask how many was too many? Have done a few returns myself lately.
I would say about one per month over the last 12 months.

I had the same email from Amazon a couple of weeks ago. I figure it's not my fault that the products I've returned don't meet my expectations. Do they think I'm just meant to write the cost off myself if the item I received isn't any good or bad quality?
I was able to point out the several of my returns happened to be the same brand TaoTronics which had been banned from Amazon from false reviews, went on about how I would not have bought the items in the first place had it not been for false reviews and would not be using Amazon anymore if not for the return system.
I received a similar email myself a few months ago. Strange, especially since they highlight their returns policy. eBay has never told me this. 🤔
Were these change of mind returns or faulty?
All of them where fault reasons, I took gambles on cheap brands because of the return system.
