  • Is Nivea or Neutrogena better for non-greasy and ultra lightweight?

For some reason, I never liked the Cancer Council brand.

    • Try 30+, I always find 50+ is way too heavy for me.

      • Oh is that what's causing the heaviness…

        • I guess higher number means strong ingredients, you just have to find the balance for your own skin.

          • @noodlefan: Actually it comes down to the formula. There are a lot of SPF50+ daily wear face moisturisers that are non-greasy these days. Check out OzBargain face sunscreen poll

In my experience, the water-resistant sunscreen for face and body tend to be the stickier ones, they have to leave a film that doesn't wash off easily. But for everyday use you don't need water-resistance.

    • I normally look for gel formulas if wanting ultra lightweight

    • You should try the Avene 50+ sunscreen as it can be used for face or body. It's excellent and very light weight. I like to carry it in one of the water bottle holders of my backpack. I used to wear this sunscreen under makeup.

    • I haven't tried Nivia non-greasy, but I have used Neutrogena ultra sheer and it is great. You rub it on and it dries after a minute and you can't even feel that you've put it on - completely dry. It's absolutely nothing like the typical greasy sunscreens. Of course it doesn't last as well with water or sweat, but I'd rather put it on twice as often than use greasy sunscreen.
