Great price for the size 32GB , and being sandisk is a bonus too , perfect speeds for android .

Speed tests on MicroSD for android " an interesting read " http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1150369

    • Cheers for the link, helped make my choice a little easier.

  • Site is down…
    edit: nvm back up.
On average, how long will it take for delivery if the item is located in Sydney and being delivered to Sydney?

    • i bought this exact one last week and received it within 3 days

  • I have one of these. They're slow at writing. But for that price, who can complain?

  • -1

This will go rather nicely with my IXUS 115HS that I bought last week courtesy of this site… And to think I paid almost $60 for a 32gb microsdhc (class 10 however) only a few months ago!

    • Why would you use MicroSDHC in a digital camera?
When regular SDHC would fit without an adapter ;-)

      • so u can view the photos on a tablet or phone while u are out and about

        • Interesting :-)

I just plug the full sized SD Card (or reader) directly into my tablet, (or phone)…
But TBH I rarely have the need to do that :-)

      • I think getting a micro version is a better investment long term — you can use it in a phone (which is where my lexar is) or tablet device, or use an adapter and use it as a full size sdhc card in ones digital camera..or as a USB stick with one of those microsdhc readers…

Also I haven't seen any 32gb cards at that price recently — cheapest I've seen was $30 at big W catalog…

Regardless of size, sandisk (original) at that price for that capacity is hard to pass up!

        • +1

Agreed - the small size + adapter(s) does give you more choices in the future, but Class 4 may be too slow for many modern, or future, digital cameras if you wish to achieve maximum burst rates or high bit rate video…

Class 4 is already too slow for some modes on my current Sony camera, so this particular deal wouldn't be a "better investment long term" for me personally…
But as I say, the logic of it being "multi-purpose" is not something I will argue against ;-)

Overall though, it is a great deal for an Android device, etc :-)

  • This will go great with my $199 netbook!
    but seriously, good deal

  • I'd really like my 2 x 32gb USB 3.0 flash drives which havent arrived nearly a full week after I paid for them.

Sydney to Sydney delivery certainly seems to be taking a long time….

I am interested in this deal but the incredible amount of negative comments regarding Shopping Square in other posts makes me nervous about clicking the "Buy" button :-(

It makes you wonder if they are just going to keep your money and then send the cards when the normal price of the MicroSDHC cards drops to that price everywhere ;-)

    • +4

I bought 4 batteries from them at 12th March and it's not yet arrive, so disappointed with their services.

    • Took them a whole week to just ship mine…

    • +1

I have bought from them several times before. So far, no problems for me.

I paid for the Samsung Galaxy Note a few weeks ago. I still have not received the phone yet. Shopping Square is not trustworthy.

Bugger - unlike the other deals posted by the OP, this one's photos are not modelled by a human.

    • That comment of mine isn't even relevant to this deal. Not sure HOW it could possibly have been posted here, I must have stuffed up LOL

It should be on http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/67369 :-D

Rofl Open Crotch Bodystocking is a bit different , they both have a slot though , so maybe your onto something :-)

      • Thanks for the negs, people. Really appreciate you making such a big deal of a mistake post that I am unable to edit or remove.

  • why do sellers take customers money but do not respond to their comments? seriously how hard can it be? if you can post a deal, you can reply to their queries!

    • -1

why do sellers take customers money

      customers give it to them…..

  • ShoppingSquare:

"Estimated Handling Time: 1-3 working days"

—> should it be 1-3 working weeks? :)

    • +2

not really i bought some memorycards from them(ebay store) and it took about 5-7 days for them to arrive to my place

  • Good find purchased one just now, hopfully wont take too long for delivery.

  • Bought one, thx!

  • Bought one of these from SS when it was $30 with bonus $10 credit. Delivery was a couple of days. Zero padding, just the MicroSD card in it's plastic case, in a DL envelope. Nice deal.

  • Oops, we are currently experiencing a high volume of visits, please try again later. We apologize for any inconvenience caused.

  • Thanks! Bought one for my phone.

Don't Pay: $199.00 Our Price: $22.95 GST Inc. Save: $176.05(88%)
Are they out of their mind? Where did they see this price?
The same SD cards are being sold on e-bay at between $24.85 and $29 delivered (about $20 excl. delivery).
This false advertising of so called discount on ShoppingSquare website deserves a very big neg and should be reported to the Office of Fair Trading. Unless they are able to show where it sells for $199.

    • I agree

    • I beleived they are clearing all the stocks as new Samsung 16GB cards will offer a maximum sequential read speed of 80MB/s, which is quite a jump compared to the current high-end cards that are only capable of 21MB/s read speeds. http://www.androidpolice.com/2012/04/05/samsung-developing-m…

Um, but we arent voting the deal because 24 from 200 is a great deal… we're voting the deal because its a decent price in its own right (duh). As for fair trading - its important that people know their rights in relation to advertising and promotion - I seriously doubt you know yours bob…

      • +2

absolutely…. who cares what the rrp is….

  • Nice prices BUT still waiting for my $10 voucher (got one but bought 2 items in their last special 16gb sd and 32gb micro. Wanted to use second $10 for this deal BUT not in my basket under Jak_3

  • Bought. With the $8 credit I had from a Cruzer sale they had a while back, $16 delivered is a bargain.

  • Are they definitely legit cards from SS?

  • Got one, cheers OP.

  • Does anyone know if it's possible to pay at SS as a Paypal "guest"? The payment page is insisting I sign up for Paypal.

  • "Don't pay $199"??
But what if I want to?

Just bought one. First purchase from SS. Hoping for a good experience!

  • Will I be able to record full hd videos using this on my phone?

    • Probably not, or only short ones - usually they recommend a Class 6 absolute minimum for FullHD 1920x1080… but does your phone really record that high resolution?

      • +1

        Galaxy SII, for example, can.

      • So…….why can't we use this [class 4] on the GalaxyS2?

        • I assume Ken meant that read/write limitations may cause issues with FullHD recording (the filesizes are quite large and hence you'd need to write quite a lot of data per second).

If it does turn out to be too slow, my expectation is that recording to internal phone memory and then transferring it may be a possible solution.

This thread on XDA suggests the Sandisk Class 4 will be fine. I did a bit of digging as this is a question I wanted to know the answer to as well.

      http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1340164

Suffice to say I'll be buying one of these. Apparently these class 4 cards are one of the best options available. Big thumbs up after researching this further.

      http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=1150369

  • Good deal.

BTW, I recorded 720p video on Galaxy S using class2 Sandisk card with no dramas so this should be fine.

  • Zzzz 8 days to ship it to "warehouse for processing", pretty ordinary for a item supposedly shipping from Sydney

  • Anyone get theirs yet?

  • Got mine today!
Ordered just before the deal expired which might be later than others

    I live in Melbourne.

  • cheap for such large capacity.

  • Anyone tested the card with H2testw yet?

    • +1

My old Sandisk class 4 16GB (bought from MSY) got this:
      Writing speed: 5.10 MByte/s
      Reading speed: 20.9 MByte/s
      H2testw v1.4

My new Sandisk class 4 32GB (this deal) got this:
      Writing speed: 4.15 MByte/s
      Reading speed: 20.7 MByte/s
      H2testw v1.4

About 20% slower in writing speed. I have a 1GB ext4 partition on it for Apps2SD on my HTC Desire running Villain_Au 3.3U1 and I have noticed that since switching to the 32GB card, the phone is much less responsive. Of course, could be a number of other factors at play… Switching from the 16G to the 32G was such a painful process (first time) that I'm not quite prepared yet to switch back to see if it improves things.

      • Thanks he3at, I also got about similar stats. Do you know what is the minimal writing speed that can be classified as class 4?
