    I'm guessing this is one of those quick 15 minute chargers that just dump loads of current into the batteries and only charge in pairs? They charge fast (and hot) but will cause the battery to deteriorate faster.

        I've worked out what it is, it's actually a rebranded NC-M58.

        Which is actually a smart charger with Delta-V charge termination and it can charge 1-4 cells independently.

          I think for $20 this is as good a charger as you're going to get… bear in mind there are 4 cells and shipping involved.

        • I am having lots of trouble finding the Panasonic version of this. Appears to in fact be a Sanyo NC-M58

            @hmac: Sanyo is owned by Panasonic, that's why the manual is hosted on Panasonic's web page.

            The product is fact branded Sanyo and is discontinued (translated from '生産終了' on the page). NC-M58 was only sold in Asia and Japan.
