    16 vs 8GB (non-upgradeable, soldered on) RAM.

    Have the i7 16", very happy with it, especially the screen size to weight ratio & battery that easily lasts all day for simple office work/browsing.

    5% further off if you use discount gift cards.

    Also, only took about a week or two to get Intel cashback in form of prepaid Vault MasterCard linked from SMS.

      Yes, have the 17" i7 and highly recommend for display and overall quality.

      Great price. They were closer to 3k not long ago and there is not much competition at this level of laptop quality (particularly the display).

  What is the different between the 2 17" models? Same processor, RAM, HD and screen specifications but a few weeks ago, JB listed one a "new" which appears to hsve been removed and I can't remember which one.

  These are freakishly light. The wobble on the screen is scary also, feels like you could crack the screen if you closed it by the corner

    When I previewed it in store before buying, this concerned me a little, but took the plunge as size of screen for weight was best in market.

    In over a month of real world use though, hasn't been a problem.

    Haven't gone traveling with it yet, but in many uses around the house, including on lap, sofa absolutely no issue.

    You have to physically hold opposite corners to make it wobble, otherwise in normal use, including moving around with screen up & open, closing by a corner, haven't seen any sign of wobble.
