Increased Referral Bonus of US$200 Worth of SG (Crypto): Min US$30 Spend in 30 Days Required @ SocialGood App

1015

As per recent deal, I have tried and tested this myself, have gotten few thousands worth of SocialGood coins and cashed out to USDT.

It was $100 referral, now $200, not sure what to make of it, but my guess is they are not reaching their new sign up targets quick enough. Though, there's not much really to lose by trying out the App.

IMO eBay AU works best with tracking(12-24 hours) and approvals always happen at the end of the following month, so it takes 31-60 days for eBay AU.

Aliexpress have also worked for me. Haven't really tried other stores.

New users need to spend US$30 or more within 30 days of signing up.

For those who have more questions about the SG/App, withdrawals, feel free to DM me, happy to help answer any questions. I've been using the SG app since May 2021.

    Reporting.
I made a purchase on Aliexpress last night @ 11pm. The tracking notification came through an hour later.
I think it's safe to purchase from Aliexpress now as the tracking is working for me.
Unfortunately my previous purchase from Aliexpress that never had tracking notification is not going to come back in my opinion. Luckily my purchase was around USD 30 so it's not too bad.

    • +3

      Thanks. Shopping soon.
      Work comes second.

    • Nice! Did you use any coupons?

      • +1

        No coupon

        • Cool, thanks mate!

    • Is the purchase that you made but didn't track, for multiple items by any chance?
I purchased 2 pack of fridge filter (single listing) and I am wondering whether that's why it didn't track as the rules state you can't buy 2 or more of the same item. I was under the impression this only applies if you buy 2 of the same listing (in my case, 2 x 2 pack filter), but perhaps the rule was just worded stupidly.

      • The one that never tracked was just a single item purchase.

        • There goes that idea then. Have you tried logging a ticket? Their support seems near useless and you'd be lucky to even get any response.

          • @keejoonc: I can't be bothered as they are really useless. It's a small purchase anyway.

            • @arctan: It wasn't a purchase to qualify for $100 bonus? Mine was so pretty peeved that it didn't track.

              • @keejoonc: Yeah it was for the $100 bonus. I reckon we'll see next one coming anyway. Next time I'll just buy something from ebay for these kind of bonus as it's more reliable when it comes to tracking.

          • @keejoonc: i always get a reply (well only 2-3x so far sending queries) but it took like a week for them to come back

            • @CyberMurning: I get replies, but they're no help with missing cashback. Plus they didn't reply again after I let them know that I knew I had done everything correctly and that other people had issues with purchases tracking on the same day.

              • +1

@Miss B: Agree. Basically its tracked or nothing. No discussions no but bat bet bit

    • Just confirming a purchase I made this morning (~8am) has now tracked, no coupons used, took just over an hour.

      • Ebay? Mine last night hasn’t been tracked yet.

        • Sorry, forgot to say Aliexpress. All my (2) ebay purchases have tracked so far.

          • +1

@frogduck: Mine just tracked too. Probably will have some more purchases before end of month so will be approved end of Feb.

  • Signed up and the pending bonus is $170 worth of SG, not $200 stated. Is it normal?

    • +2

You got $200 worth of SG coins. The coin dropped in price, so it's now still worth $170 (you still have the same amount of coins).
You could be a millionaire by the time you cash out, or you could be $0.50 richer.

  • So it seems the app will filter results on aliexpress. Anyone know if I add an item into wish list and play order through the wish list instead of the searching, would this get the coin ?

    • duh.. you said first they filter, there must be a reason why…. i guess because they dont want you to buy something that they are not approving….

    • Hard to say… I would just abide by the rules by searching for the item and adding to the cart. The search results show affiliated products only, that's how SG make their money.

  • +2

I just got a response to the ticket I opened for a purchase via booking.com that didn't track.

Unfortunately, if your purchase hasn't shown up as pending after so long that would mean that our partner company did not consider your purchase to have been a qualifying purchase made using our app.
Please note that the purchase will show up in the app automatically if done successfully.

    So basically: "tough luck!"
They use basic response that they use for all these tickets, even asking if I added it to cart before.. I don't even think there's something like a waiting cart for booking.com.

50% booking.com seemed too easy - I can still cancel the booking, but of course the accommodation I wanted is not available for the same price anymore. And then risk it not tracking again.
I have screenshots from during the booking and I never left the SG app - but won't be getting the cashback on this one.

    • +1

My brother lodged a ticket and received a response asking if he did everything right (He did) and now he's awaiting another response.
I was hoping that they would credit back those that did everything right since so many people experienced the issue but it's nice to know that they don't give a shit.
Wouldn't surprise me if SG received their affiliated $$$ and the app issue is just being swept under the rug as a 'It's your fault'

Myself and my brother have a missing transaction each :(

    • +1

Received the same response from SG. Also tried Trip.com, IHG Rewards and Budget Rent Car but nothing was tracked. I suspect only a few sites work properly - probably only eBay, Aliexpress etc?

      • Yeah, pretty bad.
Let's hope at least one cash out works for me before it's $0

      • +4

All 3 of mine from booking.com tracked. Took 2 days to receive the email from them. Using a samsung phone

        • Just wondering if you booked hotels with booking.com? If so did you book the pre paid rooms or non prepaid (eg. pay at hotel?) ?

          • +2

@arctan: Booked hotels in qld, going up in 2 weeks time. 2 not prepaid and 1 prepaid. All tracked. Used the sg app on my phone

      • Thanks. I think I'll stick to ebay and maybe occasional Aliexpress.

    Reporting.
2pm purchased from ali. No coupon nothing. Paid by cc. After click paid got error but then click retry and okay.
7pm tracked (twice, probably because the above error). But i checked my cc just 1 charge

    • I've had 3 Aliexpress purchases track over the last 2 days or so. Tracking times varied from 1 to 6 hours.

  • When do they actually verify purchase and subscription? My 11/11/2011 tracked purchases have got verified yet.

    • Sorry, 2021

  • +3

SG rate for purchases is 53c and it's currently 65c

    Buy buy buy.

    18.46% yield.

  • +1

Has anyone tried booking.com and trip.com with SG? Have you received tracking successfully?

    • Tried trip.com, booking.com, IHS rewards club and budget rent car. None of them worked. I've only managed to get ebay AU and aliexpress to track properly. I'm using an iphone.

    • my booking.com reservation tracked (on first go). android phone + paid at hotel on the date.
It's yet to approve but fingers crossed. Has me sweating a little haha.

  • +9

    This doesn't seem good…

They've in the space of ~48hrs stopped free withdrawals to exchanges, reduced the cashback for ebay from 50% to 2.6%, booking.com from 50% to 2.6% etc. With zero prior notice, nor explanation.

The telegram channel is having certain messages be deleted without notice also.

2.6% cashback is basically pointless considering the gas fees that are required to transfer from the SocialGood app to a private wallet, and then wallet to Exchange.

The 200USD offered may, however, cover all or most the costs of one (or two) process of selling SG.

But with how dodgy they've gone about things, it seems likely the price of the coin will crash in the upcoming days or hours

    • Aliexpress is still showing 100% cashback, but I wouldn't trust until I receive my first verified balance

    • You have to expect cashback rates to change. They have gone the other way as well.

But not informing people about the transfer fees is very wrong.

Also deleting messages, but that is telegram for you.

    • what kind of informations that has been deleted ?

    • Why do you need to transfer from the SocialGood app to a private wallet, and then wallet to Exchange? Can't we transfer to exchange directly?

      • I'm pretty sure the only way to withdraw SG is to connect your metamask, coinbase etc. cold wallet directly thru the app, rather than by withdrawing into a wallet's address.

        • I have only ever withdrawn directly to Bitmart and Bittrex. No wallet in between. You only transfer to metamask if you want to stake it in my opinion.

          • @HighvoltageRuss: Pretty sure there has been recent change where you can’t withdraw straight to Bitmart anymore but happy to be corrected

          • +1

            @HighvoltageRuss: They've changed it:

With such a huge increase in users, we have decided on the following changes in order to prevent any fraudulent use.

・Withdraws from the SocialGood App can only be made to a wallet connected to the app. Please see how to connect your wallet here: How to Connect Your Wallet to This App
・Gas fees will be paid by the user as a network fee. The fee will be calculated using the CoinMarketCap API, and users will be able to withdraw the value of the SG minus the fee.

    • +2

The booking.com effective cashback was 0% anyway because it didn't track.
      Support doesn't care/exist.

    • +2

Wouldn't more people be "forced" to hold their SG tokens if we are basically forced pay fees when withdrawing. Sounds like their aim was to attract new users and then slam them with a withdrawl fee so they are not enticed to withdraw so easily, thus stopping most of the selling.

It looks like their aim was to make us hold the SG tokens because most people are just selling them as soon as its approved. The more people that are holding, the better the price holds or increase? Or so they think….

      • +1

        Yeah cause they can't HODL.

They are shoppers not investors. I am kinda glad they are doing it.

  • +3

Wow they have reduced the cashback, who would use them with those cashback rates? CR is much better and more reliable than SG.

    • Not me, i'm out. I'm just hoping to actually get something out of it in a few months when all my pending transactions clear.

  • +3

They needed some more quick cash, so attracted people with "$200" sign up bonus, got referral money, and now make it harder to withdraw.

I still made a purchase with 50% eBay cashback but also that one didn't track. Now already $125 that didn't track, could have bought those with at least $21 guaranteed discount.
Anyway, I shared a screenshot via support but they just don't bother to respond anymore.
Even with the $200 in their crypto, I'm starting to regret I signed up.

    • +2

The opposite, as long ali still 100% or 50% i am not even blink at 10% shopback promos….
      SG all the way.

      • If they keep the spend 30 get 100s coming I'll keep using it. I've been doing 90% ebay and the odd Aliexpress.

If they stop with them I'll just occasionally do Aliexpress.

        • Did you or ChiMot actually cash out something already, or is it all virtual at the moment?

I only did a handful of purchases and 2 didn't track.
Now withdrawal seems more complicated too..
Let's see if any of it gets actually approved in a few months.
Credibility takes a long time to build up, but only moments to lose it..

          • @johnmelb: I've cashed out my first lot. Expecting more on the 1st.

        • How do you even get those and how often?

          • +1

@centrelink: By making purchases. Often it's triggered by the purchase/s for the previous offer. Otherwise I do a couple of small ~$5-$10 purchases to try to trigger it and it seems to work. I think they do them every 2-3 days, but you're not guaranteed to get it every time.

I normally shop on ebay with the spend $30 get $100, because it gets approved faster. The small purchases Ali can be good because you eventually get the 100% back and it's only $5-$10 so no biggie if it takes a few months.

      • Remedy gone. AliExpress all the way now.

    • All my purchases from ebay and aliexpress were tracked exception one. So I'll keep using SG as long as the cashback rate is more than 50%.

      • Checked the Telegram (very toxic btw) and one of the mods said you could get higher cash back rate if you ranked platinum or above.

        • Can you share link of telegram?

        • +1

And they said case by case… not blanketed rate per tiers

          • @tajid: so they have to look at it everytime you make a purchase?

            • +1

@centrelink: No he meant case by case as of person by person, so same tier could have different %.

              • @CyberMurning: thanks, I'm open for tips. I usually spend about $1000-$2000 per month on ebay anyways, so this would be beneficial if i could get maxmimum cashbacl :)

                • +2

                  @centrelink: omg 1000/m…. nickname doesnt checks out……

                  • +2

@CyberMurning: Eh, it’s just expenses for my business. For example I need postage stamps. Instead of buying at post office, used the funds to buy on eBay website instead.

Also got an email from SG saying this

                    Higher Ranks

Higher ranks also earn you higher crypto back rates when shopping through the app.

For example, let’s say there’s a shop that currently has a 3% crypto back rate. If you become a Diamond Member, you might receive a personal email or push notification that you are now eligible to receive 100% crypto back.
                    * However, because the crypto back rate takes your membership rank as well as other additional information into account, this offer is personally determined for each user.

In short, the more you shop through the SocialGood App and the more you stake, the more you will be able to earn in crypto back through shopping.

  • What's the gas fee to withdraw from SG app to Bitmart now?

    • by the look of the telegram page, they changed it so you cannot withdrawal straight to Bitmart you have to withdrawal to a external wallet like trust then send to Bitmart which is extra fees, so now you have a massive gas fee but I can't actually work out how much the fee will be because if you visit etherscan.io/gastracker it says like $15usd

      • Not sure what the process will exactly look like: +-$15 USD (transfer SG to wallet) + another +-15 USD (wallet to e.g. bitmart exchange) + costs to sell SG to USDT + costs to withdraw to paypal (not even sure it's directly possible via bitmart).
Or you can use Bittrex - but doesn't have much SG liquidity.
So looks like +$30 USD costs to withdraw?

Would be good if somebody can point to a procedure on how exactly to withdraw and where to find the costs (e.g. do different wallets have different costs to transfer?).

        • +2

From bitmart you trade to usdt and then use TRC20 network to transfer to binance. This only costs 1USDT for gas fee. This is the cheapest way to transfer.
From binance you can then trade to aud and then deposit to your Aussie bank account.

      • This means we have to pay twice the gas fee before we can trade on bitmart. First you pay gas fee to transfer from SG app to personal wallet. When you want to transfer from wallet to Bitmart you get hit with another gas fee.
This is gonna be expensive to cash out.

      • +2

Saw some screenshots in telegram showing $100 withdrawal fee. Hope not

  • What's changed with withdrawal? How much is it going to cost?

  • +6

It might be worth noting that the $200 referral bonus offer expires in a few days (31/01) so get in quick while you still can!

If you're a new user, please use the referral randomiser (Refer to 'Referral Links' at the top of the listing) and click where it says 'Random'

Hopefully the new changes will sustain and increase back the price of the SG token.

  • just did ebay purchase, it's down to 2.6% back…

  • LOL as if anyone will use SG when cryptoback % is so low.
Good thing I withdrew the first lot of approved coins. Had a limit order at 74 cents on Bitmart and was pleasantly suprised it triggered overnight when the price spiked last week.

    • -1

Good on you. When did you shopped and when they were approved? eBay or aliexpress?

  • +4

Wow things have changed with socialgood. Temporary restrictions- minimum amount to withdraw to your wallet is now $300 USD. They are now cracking down on the multiple account fraud in lieu of the $200 refer a friend promo!

    https://socialgood.zendesk.com/hc/en-us/articles/44164396166…

Also they are looking to introduce ekyc to validate accounts!

Hopefully this would pump up the price….

Good. Some dodgy Malaysian had like 72k worth of social good.

I would imagine the abuse would be rife.

      • +2

I don't agree with such a high fee because that one Malaysian can withdrawal it while everyone else cannot if they have under $300usd
