Increased Referral Bonus of US$200 Worth of SG (Crypto): Min US$30 Spend in 30 Days Required @ SocialGood App

1015

As per recent deal, I have tried and tested this myself, have gotten few thousands worth of SocialGood coins and cashed out to USDT.

It was $100 referral, now $200, not sure what to make of it, but my guess is they are not reaching their new sign up targets quick enough. Though, there's not much really to lose by trying out the App.

IMO eBay AU works best with tracking(12-24 hours) and approvals always happen at the end of the following month, so it takes 31-60 days for eBay AU.

Aliexpress have also worked for me. Haven't really tried other stores.

New users need to spend US$30 or more within 30 days of signing up.

For those who have more questions about the SG/App, withdrawals, feel free to DM me, happy to help answer any questions. I've been using the SG app since May 2021.

    • What's ekyc?

      • electronic know your customer.

requires ID so ref scammers get shafted.

    • +1

I was wondering what they had in place that would stop people just creating a new account for every purchase and getting all the referrals for them. Seems like they had none and they are trying to fix it.

      • idiots hah.

    • +5

So because some users were abusing the system, the people that didn't abuse won't be able to withdraw?
Those who created multiple other accounts will have >$300. Those with 1 account likely <$300.
Why not just enforce the ekyc and keep the $25 USD limit …

    • looks like they will add gas fees as well.

  • -4

This thing is basically a scam, lucky I only bought a mouse through AliExpress that I wanted.

Every month they will keep on increasing the minimum withdrawal amount so that no one can withdraw. Meanwhile, the SG company will reap the rewards of affiliate purchases.

    • I think that assumption is wrong, it is not a scam since they are giving you free coins and it is at zero cost to you, how can something free be a scam?
However they have been slack in how they have put this together and the number of loopholes that haven't been taken care of, they are finally catching up to those loopholes and trying to fix them and as part of that process they have made it not worthwhile at least for now, and things might change in the future again.

      • +2

I don't agree with the notion that it's "free". You have to factor in opportunity cost. At the very least, if you didn't shop through SG, you could have gotten some cashback, albeit a small amount, through other cashback websites. Some may have not even bought something if it wasn't for the promised cryptoback/bonus.

        • -1

Yep. The coins mean nothing until they can be converted into fiat.

        • +2

Basically you only get 1 or 2% cash back from SB and CW on ebay items.
I'll take the punt on SG when they offer 50% crypto back again on eBay.

        • I don't think any opportunity cost would net $200 USD anytime soon for only $30USD spend.

        • +1

Definitely not free coins, and yes there’s an opportunity cost associated with using SG instead of CR or SB. But anyone who goes into this with the notion that they’re 100% definitely going to be getting the full amount of “crypto back” is delusional. As with all crypto there’s an element of risk, with SG even more so considering how new it is and what they’re promising.

Like arctan suggests, using SG is as good as taking a punt on whether you’ll get anything back.

Calling it a scam seems a bit of a stretch, I haven’t looked into it personally but I would assume that they’re obviously well within their rights as part of their T&C’s to change the minimum withdrawal amounts as and when they so please.

Anyone had their Feb 1 approval came through? I was expecting purchases made on the 1st Dec to be approved but still no sign of it… the purchases made on 1st Nov were approved in 1st Jan though…

    • Haven't seen my Dec Ebay purchased approved yet..

      • im still waiting for my ebay dec too i was told today it would verify but i'm guessing that's not the case since everyone got verified around 1am

      • According to their TG they're approving around approx 27-29th December eBay transactions. I would imagine that there are a lot of transactions to approve so it should just be a matter of time

    • No new approvals yet for me either. My ebay purchases made on 1 December were approved on 31 December.
Aliexpress purchase from 9 December is still pending.

      • Aliexpress is approved within 60-90 days according to the T&C's

    • Nothing for me either

    • Nothing yet. Still waiting.

    • My November purchases and subscription aren't approved yet. I have a feeling they never will.

  • I got my referral plus the min spend approved from the 29/12/2021. The rest pending.

  • Just got paid my first referral from

    December 1/2 (255 SG)
    January 0/7

    • December 1/2 = 1st of Dec?

    • Same here. Received the referral bonus today.

    • January as well? I haven't got mine from January.

      • Yes. January bonus was approved today.

  • Dumb question, but since you need to send from Metamask (or any other wallets) to Bitmart, do you need to have ETH to pay for gas in Metamask?

    • -1

no, you can send from SG to Bitmart or any exchange offering SG directly …no need for metamask

      • +1

This is a recent change where you have to withdraw to Metamask as discussed above :(

        • +1

just read it…sh*t…. I guess they do this to try to stop people from cashing out …. as they don't have enough liquidity for the number of new customers and new purchase…..

          • +2

@mountaineer: yeah things gone to shit. unsustainable model.

    • so we have to buy some ETH in Metamask or coinbase wallet?

  • Can we still expect approvals to come through today? Or do I have to wait until 1 March for the next round of approvals?

    • No idea, I was wondering the same.

    • talking in the telegram apparently they are going from the back of december so from the 30th backwards to the 1st but knowing them they are trolls

      • +2

Telegram is full of idiots and lowlives. I don't even bother going there.

  • +4

SG: Increases referral amount to increase number of users
Also SG: Can't handle additional users so messes with the benefits and ability to receive them

Hopefully they sort it out soon.

    • +2

Hopefully they sort it out soon.

      🤣🤣

      • +2

probably not gonna pay out Decembers either…

        • +2

          Free Money Never Exists.

        • Someone said they work through from the end of the month back to the start and they're only up to 27th December on Telegram. I didn't buy anything end of December. Still hoping it will go through. I don't even mind if it takes another month to approve December as long as it approves.

  • +1

Now they have removed ebay altogether I'm curious if we will get paid at all

    • They're claiming technical issues. Will see how it goes. I have a spend $30 get $100. Might use another store. Will give it until tonight.

      • Only viable option left is Aliexpress

    • +1

eBay has been removed temporarily due to technical issues, they will bring it back once said issues are fixed. All existing eBay purchases will be honoured

  • +1

My Dec eBay purchase just got approved.

    • +1

Same here. 26 Dec to 31 Dec purchases were approved today.

      • Still waiting for the early Dec purchases to be approved.

        • Still waiting for my 11th Dec ebay purchase to be approved too.

  • +1

Price is now 90c, hope continues going up to offset the additional gas fees.

  • +1

Withdrew my balance. $40 USD fee. Wonder if/when withdrawals will be approved.

    • How much did you withdraw?

    • You will have to pay another $40 USD fee to transfer from personal wallet to Bitmart right?

      • +1

Yes you'll need to pay by ETH.
If you don't have ETH in your wallet, you need to buy ETH and transfer to your wallet which will cost another $40

Withdraw once and cost USD 120+ is insane.

        • If you withdraw to coinbase wallet and then transfer to coinbase account, how much fee you are looking?

          • @Ash-Say: Withdraw and transfer what? After you sold SG?
As long as you don't choose ERC20 coins. The fee is manageable. LTC for example usually only cost tens of cents.

            • @1000060: Sorry I also new to this.

I transferred SG from Socialgoods to coinbase wallet. What do I do now?

I have free coinbase account which I have linked with coinbase wallet.

              • @Ash-Say:

                1. Buy ETH on coinbase
                2. Withdraw ETH to your wallet (same address where you withdrew your SG)
                3. Deposit your SG into an exchange
                4. Trade
                5. Withdraw you traded coin to another exchange to sell (or trade to another coin like USDT and then sell) for AUD.
                • +3

@benjaminmis: Replace coinbase with FTX (Was Blockfolio, not pro) free withdrawal for Eth with better buy rates and AUD deposit using PayID or Card.

                  FTX also has AUD withdrawals.

                  • @shadowangel: It seems Ash lost his crypto sending to coinbase. I was about to do the same. I installed FTX, but not sure what exact steps to follow from SG App to FTX so that I don't end up losing the money. Thanks

        • Huh? Why need to pay by another coins? This is complicated

          • @CyberMurning: As SG is based on ERC20 chain (Ethereum)

          • @CyberMurning: You need to pay for gas fees.

          • @CyberMurning: It is complicated, Eth you need to pay transaction costs on the network. As soon as you withdraw to your own wallet you need it.

Local exchanges do not support SG, you can swap it in your metamask wallet with something like Uniswap however the gas fees will be high.

Swapping on an exchange that supports SG is the cheapest option.

    • +1

Keep in mind that the fee fluctuates depending on network congestion. There are a lot of people withdrawing with a $20-25 USD fee (Still not great but still better than $40). Just keep checking and eventually the fee will reduce. Might be a good idea to time it when it's early morning in the USA.

  • Can someone please share the cheapest way to withdraw to AUD? I am new to this but have a coinbase account for the free coins. Happy to open any other account if needed.

    • -1

You will need a BitMart account, withdraw as SG to there, trade for USDT, then trade that for LTC or Algorand and send to Binance.

      • ok that sounds easy enough, i will bookmark this for sure.
will probably/definitely need help later when ready to withdraw. thanks all….

      • +2

Pretty sure you can not do this now.. You need to withdraw via metamask or coinbase wallet and then send to an exchange

    • The cheapest way to cash out to AUD in my opinion. Others have their own preferred way to do this process.

      1. Transfer SG from App to your wallet (Trust Wallet). Gas fee roughly US $40 but this amount can change depending on the timing of the transfer.
      2. Transfer SG coins by using TRC20 network from Trust Wallet (Tron network only charges 1USDT gas fee for any transfer) to Bitmart.
      3. Trade SG to USDT on Bitmart (some trading fee involved but not sure how much).
      4. Transfer USDT to Binance by using TRC20 network (gas fee = 1 USDT).
      5. Trade USDT to AUD (some trading fees involved on Binance) and then deposit the funds to your aussie bank account.

      Total gas fees involved here - $40 + 1 + 1 = $42 plus some trading fees.

      • Can you use TRC20 via metamask or coinbase?

        • +1

          They dont support TRC20 network.

      • +1

Bitmart doesn't support deposits of SG via TRC20. So looks like we're stuck on ERC20 chain and paying high gas fees 😥

        • +1

You are correct. Bitmart doesn't support TRC20 deposit on SG coin. I don't think any exchange supports this.
The bright side is that you can still save some gas fee between Bitmart and Binance by using TRC20 network.

      • change with FTX(not pro). You can then send the eth to your metamask wallet with zero withdrawal fees saving you $40USD. You can withdraw and deposit AUD from FTX.

        • You need to buy and stake FTT tokens to get free ETH withdrawals:

          • +2

@ilovefullprice: That's pro. You need FTX app.

            • @tajid: Thanks. Do you have the source? Google not giving me much.

          • +2

            @ilovefullprice: Ftx not Ftx pro.

            • @shadowangel: Thanks. Do you have the source? Google not giving me much.

              • +3

@ilovefullprice: 'FTX App does not charge any fees on trades, or to send your coins out to your wallet.'
                https://help.blockfolio.com/hc/en-us/articles/1260802141450-…

                • @76F: Thanks! See it now.

                  Also:

All tokens that you buy and sell on FTX App can be withdrawn to your personal wallet with no fees once your deposit is clear.

Does that mean any tokens (not just ETH) has free withdrawals as long as they are bought and sold on the FTX app?

                  • +2

@ilovefullprice: Yup, I've never been charged for any withdrawals and they don't have to be bought and sold on the app. I've transferred in and out again without any problems.

                    • @76F: Wow dope! Best kept secret I reckon in the crypto sphere!

                • @76F: so can you send your social good to ftx?

                  • +1

@conducked: Unfortunately not. You can only send coins/tokens supported by FTX app.

        • change with FTX

          Change what?

I assumed you meant SG -> ETH, but I can't even find SG on FTX so now I have no idea what I'm supposed to be changing…

        • +1

You cannot trade SG on FXT. It's not listed there.
Are you saying to just buy ETH on FXT and then send it to the wallet (without gas fee) and then withdraw SG from walle to Bitmart (gas fee needed) to save the gas fee?

          • @arctan: how much ETH needed to bought for SG transfer to Bitmart?

            • @nulled: I would say you need at least a few hundred USD considering a single transfer would probably cost us anything between 15 - 90 on gas fees.

              • @arctan: Was actually as high as $150 around 11.30 today

        • Unless we petition to SG to support FTX exchange. There is no way to save on the outragous gas fees.

      • Thanks. Didn't know you could transfer USDT to Binance using TRC20.
Got the USDT that was sitting in Bitmart.

      • Transfer SG from App to Trust Wallet

Would you share how you do it? There're only 3 options in SG app to withdraw (Metamask, Coinbase wallet, WalletConnect)

  • Finally got mine, about 50% of the total I think it includes a referral that didn't bother. So I have 270 USD worth and when I go to withdraw to BitMart, new minimum withdraw is 300 USD. They are essentially blocking withdraws to stop the price from crashing.
