Been shopping around and waiting for a dslr for a year now and had the panasonic g9 in my saved for later and spotted it on an all time low never seen on amazon before for $999, compared it to the g95, gh4 and decided to buy g9.

I am in no way an expert so let me know what you think and if there was a better option.
I am tempted however to put another 600-800 to get the Sony Alpha a7III instead, i initially went to panasonic as i have 2 lens already i bought on a sale before.

      With the software updates the g9 is a cracker @ this price!

      It out performs the gh5 & the Sony A7 iii in areas.

      If my max was 1k for a body & I was buying new. The G9 would be my pick.

      I have a Lumix g85, gh4 & gh5. & The G9 seriously outperforms those 3 in most cases.

        Thank you for your reply, it makes me reaffirm my choice in getting the G9, i initially thougth d buy something at 1k and down the line when i get more paid work i can buy a more expensive one thats double the features so was thinking maybe the a7 III would be the one if i throw $800 more now but if thats not the case then il stick with the G9 for next year or 2 before buying an upgrade.

          @HunterxHunter9000: There are plenty of comparisons on youtube between m43 and full frame. If you think you will want to get a full frame later you might want to look at it some more rather than over investing in m43 body and probably some prime lenses. The lenses you have already are just kit lenses for m43 and you could just sell them pretty easily.
