Thanks OP, never tried the Pesto so grabbed some. I quite like this brand

  • Yum, although do you know how is this better than the coles or wollies brand?

I checked the ingredients, i usually get the woolies brand they both are usually $1.95, woolies has 31% pesto vs 30% ( i thought its such a bargain compared to branded ones?) 190g as well. I use this weekly in my cooking and the kids love it.

IMO, this one the Barilla Pesto Alla Genovese is hands down the best out of all the supermarket ones

      I’ve tried most of them.

if I’m desperate and I haven’t stocked up, I’ll even buy this at normal price. That’s how much better it is.

Thanks will give it a try

      • Have U tried the Mutti brand? I've converted to that one.

        • Mutti is great and a bargain when on sale. Are you referring to the pesto style Mutti product? $2.25 on sale.

          • @Crownanchor: Yes that's the one.
Bought it in a comp last year and was converted over.

            • @mmd: Thats right, Mutti was paying people to try Pesto Style. The other Mutti products are also very good.

I quite like the Aldi one for ~$2. I also try make my own, but that ends up costing waaaay more than $3-4 per 190g, even in bulk

Aldi's good, Barilla feels richer. Colseworth pestos look mushy and not appetising at all - I can't even remember when I had those last time.

  • Its also $3 at Coles and they have stock.

Probably last day today for $3, but it has been $3 for the past 2 weeks.
