My wife recently got the 20000mAh one and loves it, the fact it can also keep her laptop charged is definitely a bonus! few days later I've seen the 30000mAh one and decided I'll buy one too

  • +4

I have one of these I've been running for about 2 years now? Still running pretty well for pretty decent usage.
Only downside is theyre basically a brick but considering how much power you're carrying it makes sense.

    • Correct! if you want the capacity it's just going to be bigger.. for those who want something smaller probably look at the 5000mAh or 10000mAh ones!

  • +2

Yup. But nothing better than being able to go out for a day out, then charge up my phone, my gfs and like 2 others and still have juice haha

    • Yep! we can't get by with flat devices in this world can we now haha, I've been charging my wife's powerbank using the charger for my S21 Ultra and I'm sure it does it quick

If you had a slower charger it could take a long time to charge one of these power banks

  • Why are some of them saying not suitable for SS?

    • +1

      SS?

      • Samsung

        • Not sure but works fine for my S21 ^_^

      • -2

        uhhhhh…..

        • ???

In some countries people were reporting that the power banks wouldn't fast charge their Samsung phones. I suspect it's the phones using the Exynos chipsets as all the Qualcomm ones (like my S20 FE) fast charge fine.

      • Yep I'd say you are spot on! Most likely the different regions which have the Exynos Chipset vs the Qualcomm ones ! Both my S21 Ultra & My wife's S21 have no issue Fast charging ,

Won't see Ultra Fast Charging using these power banks but at least it's Fast Charging!

For the Capacity of these unit's and the price it's a great investment in my books!

I have on my desk next to me a Sony CyberEnergy Power bank from ages ago (2013) it's only 7,000mAh but still going strong ! that's amazing too

Found the related Deal from 2013 https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/118375

Look how much chatter was generated back in those days with power banks having 7000mAh Storage!!

  • wifey and i have Galaxy S21 (which of course didnt come with the appropriate adapter for the 'super fast charging') - have been looking for a powerbank (or 2) that would support this S21 feature, but i am really confused about all the voltage/amps etc terminology of the output - and ultimately whether any particular powerbank will suit my needs for s21. So i am usually hesitant to get one, or spend too long trying to find out and by then the deal is gone!
Anyone point me to known good dummies guide i can read up about it all .. and in the meantime, will any of these Romoss units provide the max S21 charging capability? Thanks!
Looking more at the dates some of these PB were released, it was well before S21, so i'd say answer to my last question is "no"

I have the S21 Ultra, my wife has the S21 and can confirm with the 20000mAh one you'll be able to fast charge using this power bank with it no issues,

If you also purchased the Samsung 25w Wall charger unit you'll be able to Super Fast Charge your S21 and Fast charge the power bank

thanks for the info - yeah i already bought that adapter from another OzB deal not long ago (not delivered yet tho)
I was meaning more along the lines of these powerbanks (or others), and their capability to do the different charging speeds for S21 specifically, but other models generally too .. the voltage/amps etc i find v difficult to determine what it's actually capable of….
Anyway, i got one of your 30000mAh linked units anyway as i did need another!
        Cheers

        • Good stuff 😃

With those charging units I know there are cheaper ones but I feel as tho the offical Samsung one is the way to go !

Enjoy the new brick when it arrives hehe

  • This white one gets dirty within no time. I wish I got the black. Still a good charger

    • Just use a sock for a protective case :P

    • +1

i have 3 various model white 1's & they're all clean after a cpl years usage, admittedly mostly home use..

  • +2

Bought it the other night. Arrived yesterday. Looks solid.
Forgot to post. Happy Holidays OzB

    • +1

That's quick! Amazon must be going on holidays as most deliveries now are showing after the 10th January for me :P that's ok I can wait till next year !

      Happy Holidays!

  • I don't think the airport allows these? They are too strong to be taken aboard.

    • +1

have taken mine (30,000) on hundreds of flights without issue in Australia.

      • +1

The issue is more in overseas countries. Eg: Thailand has a limit of 20,000. I learnt the hardway when they took my 50,000 away from me before my flight.

        • +1

The airport staff have so much fun keeping the confiscated goods to themselves.

    • +1

Go the 20,000mAh one then, I've taken it on planes many times before,

  • +2

Tempted for the 40000, just so I can be the guy who lays that brick on the table.

  • So I have realised that I am always near a power point or a car adapter. I never go camping. Do I need this?

  • Sadness! Pressed my payment method and the price jumped

  • Cheers. Bought a few hundreds for my renovation. Jeez they are heavy

  • Mine arrived today, and boy it's big! haha

Fast Charging my S21 Ultra perfectly fine ^__^

Very happy with my purchase as expected!
